Positive: The facility is wonderfully restored. We were the only people in the house, including staff, and the remote check in was handled professionally and efficiently.
Negative: We were not informed in advance that breakfast wouldn't be available because of our being a couple of weeks prior to its full opening. It would be helpful for that information to be on the website.

Negative: No elevator - normally not an issue but I was just in a car accident. No staff onsite for evening check in so I had to have the help of a guest to get luggage to the 2nd floor. The keyless entry code for my room didn’t work and I had to call the owners. Booking.com automatically put an old telephone number on the reservation and the code was based on this, not my current number. Only 2 kitchen/waiter staff in the morning, happily the waiter moved my bag downstairs and into my car. There was no restaurant in the hotel on Friday night (as advertised). There was no air conditioning and the fan, tho not real noisy, kept me awake. I turned it off and opened the window.
Summary: Lack of service annoying but a clean room.

Positive: It was easy to find. The interior was tastefully decorated. Late night checkin was simple. Shower was hot. Towels were plentiful. I appreciated the effort to eliminate single use products. Fresh cooked delicious breakfast consisted of coffee in mug with a pitcher of cream, glass of orange juice and a plate of buttered toast, bacon, eggs and jam served in clean bright beautiful dining room. Right up the street from St. Peter’s canal between Bras D’Or Lake and St. Peter’s Bay.
Negative: I had to carry my heavy suitcase up a short staircase. I should have packed lighter.

Positive: This little inn was so comfortable. A comfortable bed, especially if you like it a bit firm. The owners were friendly and helpful. We stayed because it was on the way to the Newfoundland ferry going the pretty way. In the summer breakfast is included so we had a good start to our travels that day.
Negative: A very small thing, it would have been nice to have another mirror outside the bathroom. With 2 people getting ready ih the morning, that is helpful
