Plan a family vacation without a care in the world! Large backyard with grill, 2 fire pits, swimming pool (hot tub in cold months) and comfy outdoor furniture and hammocks. The home is at the very end of the road. No neighbors to the right nor left. We have tenants in our basement apartment. They have a separate entrance via the yard and only have access to the driveway to share with guests.
Wooded area behind... Near the beach, shopping outlets, hiking trails, Aquarium, carnival rides, Children's zoo and wildlife park, sky diving, wine vineyard tours, visit Historical Park, GREAT restaurants AND a local beer brewery!!! So much to do. OR just relax and enjoy our yard and hot tub/pool!

Summary: The property manager was very responsive, which we appreciated. House is a bit dated, but there was plenty of space and tvs in every room. The outdoor area was really nice. We did have an issue with the tenants keeping us up late one night but the issue was addressed quickly and it didn't happen again.

Summary: Amazing is an actual understatement for this place and its host. I actually tried to book this home through a different app originally for my 27th birthday celebration. Unfortunately the app itself gave me issues booking, due to how close in proximity I was to the house. One of the homeowners, Veronica, was SO gracious, kind and patient enough to navigate me a different way to booking through here. When I tell you the house is GORGEOUS. Upon entering the kitchen area, there was a bottle of wine in a holder with a small note saying, “thank you for your stay, cheers! Elisa & Veronica.” I mean, how sweet & thoughtful! Everywhere throughout the home had framed signs of what to do, how to leave towels and sheets and how to work certain things in the home. Whatever you had questions about were basically answered through the dispersed directions. It definitely has a feminine touch, which was perfect for the girls night I was hosting. All I could think while staying here was “I need my future home to have this exact layout and style.” The closets in every room are massive, each bedroom had its own 65” tv. The family room area was so perfect to host a bunch of people in one space. Oh and did I mention the hot tub?? Oh my goodness the backyard was stunning, day and night. The surrounding area itself gets pretty dark at night, but the owners have solar powered string lights around the entire fence of the back of the yard; so you can see completely everything. I felt more than comfortable and well sought after. The only complaint I could offer is the front door gives some trouble opening and closing, could use a small update! Also there is a camera inside the house at the top of the stairs entrance, solely in the hallway. I felt a bit uncomfortable about that, but didn’t pay much mind to it once the weekend got going. Veronica and I were in communication for my stay and she was so easy to get in contact with. I texted her any time i had questions and she was always quick to respond & sweet. I couldn’t thank Veronica and Elise enough for the most wonderful stay. It was the best and smoothest birthday celebration I’ve had in a while, all due to their home and hosting skill. Thank you, I need to stay again soon!!

Summary: Let me start by saying that the owners of this property are PHENOMENAL communicators. When we had an issue, they responded immediately and respectfully. But the issue that we had was a big one. The posting says nothing about the basement tenants until you book the place. THEN I found out there's a basement and there are people renting that space. My family was getting together in setauket for my dad's birthday, so we booked the biggest house we could find for all of us with a pool and made the drive for the party. The house is great, ESPECIALLY the pool, for our kids (ages 5-18). But the owners told us that the tenants would not be an issue at all. They were. They played loud music until at least 1am every night and one evening, they hosted a LARGE party in the backyard, filling the driveway with cars and blocking our use of the full property. TBH, I felt bad for the tenants. Like this is their home and I'm here with MY big loud family, expecting to use the whole property, and they can't use any of it. It felt like a whole series of frustrating miscommunication and misunderstood expectations. I know that the owner will resolve the situation and it will DEFINITELY be better for future renters, but I felt it was important to share this situation as it was awkward and impacts my review. The property was missing some key items (dish towels, pool towels, coffee cups ) but I have been assured that was accidental and those things will be replaced.
