We are delighted to invite you to our ancient, and completely renovated house in the Tuscan hillside above the walled Roman town of Lucca.
After a 20 minute drive up from Lucca you will find yourselves surrounded by olive groves with stunning views out over the mountainsides and valleys
Casa di Lina built in seventeenth century and renovated in 2014, is one of a tiny cluster of old farmhouses, in the hamlet of Loppeglia. It is very beautiful and peaceful.
Nearby there are restaurants and pizzerias. Beaches on the Mediterranean are only 45 minutes away. The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano and the Cinque Terre are just a few of the possible day trips.

Summary: This property offered exactly the experience we were looking for. The property was perfect for a split family group, offering privacy upstairs and downstairs. The small hamlet was charming, and we enjoyed the quiet, rustic living experience. The restaurant in town was excellent and enjoyable. And Fabio was an excellent host. The property sits about 20 minutes up windy roads in the hills above Lucca.

Summary: We were 8 adults and we loved our stay in Fabio’s beautiful house in the hills north of Lucca. Fabio is the perfect host and truely helpful. I can only recommend you to go there as soon as possible and enjoy a part of Tuscany.

Summary: Beautiful townhouse with great attention to detail and cleanliness. Very well kept and has everything you need for a good holiday including big beds/bedrooms, modern bathrooms and well eqiupped kitchen. The view os spectacular! Very good restaurants in walking distance. You have to go around the building in order to get to the private patio and it is a town house so the neighbours are very close. This only added to the experience of living in an italian village for us though. Thank you for a very nice stay :-)

Summary: Could not have asked for better property to spend our holiday at. The pool and garden area with the views down the valley were stunning . The house was comfortable and clean, and the host Fabio was in constant communication and nothing was too much trouble.

Summary: Thank you Fabio - sorry we didn’t get a chance to say goodbye. This is a beautiful apartment and our family of 5 had a lovely time during our week here. We had to buy a couple of fans to use downstairs as it was just so warm, but the air conditioning upstairs was great. We hadn’t quite realised the drive necessary to get anywhere from Loppeglia - you’ll definitely need a car. During our stay we visited Lucca a couple of times, and had a great day out at Grotta del Venta. Bring some mosquito spray if you are planning on spending any time outdoors in the middle of summer!

Summary: This is an old tuscan house with beautiful view og the hills towards Lucca, and with great neighboors. Fabio is a very fine host who really did everything to make sure our stay was perfect. The house itself is old-style decorated with a lot of beautiful details. The kitchen could be a bit more equipped with regards to cooking. The house is located in the village Loppeglia which has a restaurant Collina. During our stay, this restaurant was unfortunately closed because of refurbishment, but it was planned to reopen in June. In the nearby village Fiano, you will find the excellent restaurant Valentino, a small grocery and a bakery. If you plan for a quiet holiday close to Lucca, this is your place!
