Come stay in our cozy timber framed guesthouse for a peaceful, serene getaway away from the usual hustle and bustle. The cottage has a large porch that wraps around 2 sides. Two comfy rockers are ideal to enjoy the natural surroundings and abundant wildlife. There is also a small bistro table with 2 chairs so you can enjoy your breakfast out on the porch.
We are located on 38 acres off a dirt road and are secluded, yet easily accessible to town. Lexington, the Virginia Horse Center, Devil's Backbone Outpost, and Lime Kiln are a 8 mile, 12 minute drive and Goshen Pass is 15 minutes away for great fly-fishing and other outdoor recreational opportunities.
If you are looking for quiet simplicity or a romantic getaway then this is the place.
The living area has two leather recliners in front of a wood stove (firewood provided), a perfect setting for reading and conversation. We have books by local authors and a small collection of art by locals as well.
The kitchen has a small refrigerator, stove, and microwave and toaster. There is a table and chairs for meals. The cupboard is well stocked with dishes, silverware, glasses, coffee press pot, and other pots and pans. Heat and A/C are provided using a wall mounted unit that you control with a remote controller.
The bedroom has a queen bed and the small bathroom has a shower stall, no tub. Linens and towels are provided. There is additional electric baseboard heat in the bedroom and bath.
The loft has a small sofa, table, lamps, and chair. There is also a queen size air mattress and linens for use by those over the age of 10.
There are ceiling fans on the porch and in the living area and bedroom as well.
There is a washer and dryer for your use in the basement (outside access).
There is Wi-Fi and a TV, but you'll need a computer or phone to connect to use your Netflix, etc.
No pets. No smoking.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the property. It is located in a very peaceful and relaxing location yet very close to Lexington (8 miles) and the interstate (3 miles). We had everything we needed. Cindy was a very gracious host. There are lots of activities to do in the area (hiking, biking, etc.). We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Kerrs Creek is absolutely phenomenal! The property was beautiful, situated in picaresque Rockbridge County but easy to find. When we arrived, the owner greeted us on site and provided check-in information. The guest house itself is gorgeous. Everything is pristine. The space is perfect for two and even includes an adorable loft. As you make use of the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, laundry facility etc., you'll notice that the owners have thought of everything--beautiful dishes and silverware, ground coffee, sweet snacks, cozy blankets, plush towels, even laundry detergent! Very impressive! We can't recommend Kerrs Creek enough and hope to return in the future.
