Summary: This property has everything we always look for. It had seclusion, beautiful setting, lots of room inside and out. Plenty of seating and lots of space. The beds were all comfortable and cozy. It would be a great place to take kids. So much space outside and plenty of things for kids to do. Kathy has thought of everything! They're were so many "extras". We would love to come back!

Summary: We had the best time at Woodland Hanson Farm! The trails on the property are labeled with street signs so when we walked we felt like we were on an adventure every day. There is room to roam for everyone and our pups were in dog heaven! The house was very clean and well organized to accommodate our family. The charcoal grill on the deck was great for grilling and the space for sitting around the fire is spacious and wonderful. They even have a hammock available in the yard for an afternoon snooze and a swing to relax and enjoy the wonderful view. Kathy is an outstanding host who thought of everything to make our stay perfect. It’s our new home away from home in Kettle Falls!

Summary: We found this property to be delightful and the host very helpful and detail oriented. We had everything we needed right there, and it was all just as advertised! When we arrived, the host had made a nice fire for us in the wood stove, which was warm and cozy. We loved looking out on the property from the deck, and enjoyed the visiting whitetail deer :-) definitely would rent again!

Summary: We were looking for a little getaway with some snow. We found this cute cabin in the woods in a part of Washington we haven’t been before. Everything was wonderful and Kathy is very helpful for making sure you have everything you need and more.

Summary: Kathy is a great host. We came to Eastern Washington looking for a future piece of land to build on and stayed for a week. Such a beautiful property with so many special touches. Goodies for kids, treats for pets, wine for the grownups and she even stocked the fridge with breakfast making items. This home has every possible thing you could imagine. It's like walking into a home ready to actually live in. We will be back in the winter and hope to book this place for a month long stay!

Summary: The property was clean and neat. The children loved the kids room to crash in for play time and sleep. Lots of privacy with the ability to eat outside on the deck and enjoy the forest. Deer were spotted on our last night there. The crows are a bit noisy in the mornings. Conveniently located to boat launch with parking big enough for us to park out jet boat. The owner provides a s'more kit for roasting marshmallow by the fire we built outside. She also kindly provided eggs, bacon and orange juice for our use, plus a goodie basket waiting for us on arrival. Overall a really nice house and great host.

Summary: We stayed here for Thanksgiving, my husband and I said it was one of the best Thanksgivings we have had. Kathy is an amazing host, when we arrived she had a welcome sign with all of our names, a bottle of wine, snacks, a dog treat for our dog and all the fixings for breakfast. Our teenage boys really enjoyed the s'mores kits and fire-pit. The house is super cozy and has everything you could possibly imagine. The property was so peaceful and tons to explore around the area. We will definitely return!!

Summary: This place is amazing. The house is big, very clean, tastefully furnished and decorated. Everything is well stocked. There isn't a spice or utensil you won't find in the kitchen. The fridge was filled with goodies and our Landlady even made treats for our dogs. As soon as we got out of the car we knew we'd found a gem. The house is surrounded by trees and the view from the upstairs living room is amazing. Instant relaxation. Our Landlady was very responsive and answered all our questions patiently. We had a few special requests and she went above and beyond accommodating us and making us feel comfortable. I loved the location and enjoyed watching all the different types of birds come and hang out. We definitely recommend this place and hope we'll be able to come back next year.

Summary: After a rowdy family reunion of 40 at an all inclusive guest ranch, we wanted a quiet, remote place for the 83 year-old patriarch and his siblings to unwind. Kathy's Columbia River Woodland retreat was just the ticket. But we got much more than expected. Kathy Hansen provides a modified B & B, almost-all inclusive, art museum tucked away in a rehabilitating Ponderosa Pine forest. We were entertained daily by hummers, woodpeckers, nuthatches, a rose breasted grosbeak, pine squirrels, and white tail mommies and fawns. It was dry this year but we had residual wild flowers to decorate our inside and outside tables. A picnic at nearby Ellen Lake, visits to museums in Colville and Kettle Falls, and bird watching on the Roosevelt Recreation Lake (the Coulee drounded Columbia River) filled in our days. A selection of white and red wines from Kathy's coffers made relaxing on the deck the perfect end to fun-filled days in Stevens County. Alas, we are back home in our respective states (North Carolina, Texas, Montana, and Wyoming) but all agree that we hit a gem at Kathy's place. Try it; you'll like it.
