We are conveniently located just under 25 minutes from downtown Winchester with many fine restaurants and taverns to choose from and a variety of attractions such as Bright Box Theater in the walking mall which features live music and comedy, Worlds Away Escape escape room, Patsy Cline Historic House, Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, George Washington's Office, Cedar Creek and Belle Grove National Historical Park, and less than an hour from Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, Berkeley Springs, Harpers Ferry, Shenandoah and Skyline Caverns, Sky Meadows State Park and Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.

Summary: I wanted to take a week to myself. The size of the house was great for just me, dog, and cat. Stores weren’t far away or hiking trails. The only down side was there was no broom or vacuum. I ran to Walmart and bought a broom and ice trays and left them behind.

Summary: We have stayed at many VRBO locations over the years, but the Woodlands Cozy Cottage absolutely tops all of our favorites! It wins for its peaceful, secluded location, functionality of the property (including a nice little fenced yard for our dog), and willingness of the host to go above and beyond the call of duty! We had some very specific needs for our stay and our host was extraordinarily accommodative to those needs. The cottage had virtually everything we needed. The one issue that occurred during our stay was quickly addressed and was in no way the host's fault (weather related). The cottage was clean, well stocked and comfortable. 10 out of 5 stars!

Summary: I got the relaxation I needed. This rental is a great option if you want the forest cabin experience with the comforts of an actual home. The rental is in a forested area, so I saw some deer and heard birds singing, which was so nice. The air smells great. The rental was very clean, basically spotless, which is always a good thing. I was able to cook my meals in the kitchen easily. Because of the location of the dining table, I was able to watch tv while I ate, which frankly, was a plus for me. Everything in the bathroom worked great, and again, was pretty much spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was cute. I slept well, which again, is a huge plus for me. The decor is cute and definitely gives the cottage vibe to me. I didn't bring pets with me, but the backyard is closed off, so you can bring dogs there. There is a cute little stone patio with BBQ equipment, which is convenient. I sat outside there a few times to read and it was so, so peaceful, again, like being at a cabin, but instead it's a regular home. The local Walmart and some restaurants, etc. are about 15 minutes away, which worked for me. I basically wanted to visit Winchester without actually being IN Winchester and dealing with the noise, so it was a great location for me. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again in the future.
