Our 2,650 sq. ft. spacious home is located in the rural Durango West neighborhood, just 8 miles from historic downtown Durango (12 minutes) and 35 miles (40 Minutes) from Purgatory Resort with hiking trail access 100 feet from the home and a park/playground down the street. Nearby attractions include mountain biking trails at Twin Buttes and Phil's World in Cortez as well as Hesperus Ski Area.
The home is perfect for multiple families as it features 2 living spaces on separate floors each with a TV and Foosball table in the downstairs living space. Additional amenities include a fully stocked kitchen, high speed WIFI, washer/dryer (laundry detergent provided), one car garage and 3 additional cars in the driveway (off street parking is not allowed). The main floor has AC while the basement level stays plenty cool and as such, does not have AC.

This home is pet friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs max and the pet fee is $40/day (for a max $250 per stay). There is a fenced yard.
Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.
Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very spacious house with enough room for our entire family. Very close to town and convenient. Also has a walking trail nearby that was nice. Would recommend adding more dishes for cooking and eating in. Plates and bowls were plastic which was a little strange for eating meals.

Summary: The property was perfect for our family of 8 adults and 1 child. The only exception was that is was located next to a major highway and you heard highway noise all the time day and night. Had I known this I would have picked a property off the road where you could open windows and enjoyed the sound of nature.

Summary: We came to Durango to celebrate my Grandma’s 93rd bday. There was not enough room at her place, so my sister and my family stayed at Durango West. It was perfect for the 8 of us. 4 adults, and 4 kids ranging from 8,5,2 & 10 months. The kids loved the game room downstairs, and all the toys that they had there. It was enough room inside and outside for them to run around. The rental company did a great job at addressing the small problems we had. (Keurig not working- so it was replaced, and dog door not locking). And checking in with us to make sure everything was going great. It was easy to check in and out, the place was clean and everything went great! Would love to rent this again next time we come into town. Thank you!

Summary: We LOVED the house and the neighborhood and the town. Everything was perfect, but on night two the toilet clogged and everything from every drain in the hosue went into the bathtub creating a foul smell for two days. We could not take showers, laundry or do the dishes as we needed to use the toilets and that was causng the tub to fill with waste. It was just unfortunate and with full days on the slopes and one pregnant woman the showers were very much needed and not available. The company was VERY responsive and did do what they could to get us back up and going just made for a rough 2 days.

Summary: We chose to make a family trip to the mountains instead of gifts and we had a blast! There was 9 of us, the living room upstairs is a little small for a large group so we hung out downstairs and it worked great. The refrigerator had quit working before we got there and they worked on it but could get it going so that made meal preparation a little difficult. Setting food in the garage it would freeze so we just shopped day by day. The neighborhood is extremely nice and quiet and friendly neighbors. Thanks for the great space for a great family gathering.

Summary: Overall we enjoyed our stay. There was an issue with the housekeeping. They showed up at 4:00 as we were checking in. They were there for over an hour but the master downstairs was still covered in what seemed to be drywall dust and we had to wash all the linens ourselves. Also, the queen bed upstairs was very uncomfortable. All that said, it was still so much better than renting a hotel. The owners were very responsive when I had questions. And despite the problem with the downstairs master, the rest of the house was clean. It was also nice that the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and everything needed to cook a meal. It was a delightful stay.
