Summary: This was such a lovely stay. The property is on a peaceful, quiet “cul de sac” tucked away in the woods with gorgeous views of the water from the back. The unit has a super cute “coastal farmhouse” vibe. Technically it’s a studio, as there’s no separate bedroom, per se, but it’s quite large and comfortable. Several people could easily stay there without tripping over each other. Maryellen is a wonderful host! She makes sure you have everything at your fingertips to have a nice stay. The welcome basket with a bottle of wine was a really nice touch! She gave me a list of places to go and things to experience, and like everyone else has said, the crab boil was awesome! I’ve never don’t it before, so it was a real treat. I also really appreciate that she accommodates visitors with dogs. It’s hard to find properties that are dog friendly and she was more than welcoming! Her dog, McGee was also a gracious host, showing my dogs around and finding them to play. He is a very sweet boy! My dogs loved the extra attention, exploring the property and swimming whenever they wanted to. Spending those four days here was incredibly peaceful! I felt like a welcomed friend staying here. I hope to be back sooner than later!

Summary: Kayaking FUN. There are 2 -2 person kayaks, 2 - 1 person kayaks, several canoes with all the equipment. There is a golf cart to take you to the pool. There is a private boat launch in the neighborhood and the property has a great dock to tie up to, and to fish from. There are crab pots to take out as well. Blue herons fishing, resident Flicker family, otter out fishing every morning. Dog friendly with outdoor shower and dog shampoo provided. NO traffic noise!

Summary: Overall, the efficiency was nice. Maryellen was great and the crab dinner was awesome! Like anywhere, there are a few things that we wish we had know prior to booking. The VRBO listing says sleeps 6 but we found out after booking that it only slept 5 in the downstairs area. However, Maryellen was very accommodating and she tried to make it right. Although the efficiency was very nice, it is basically a basement area under the house. Good and bad of it was that it was nice and cool if its hot outside, but it is still a basement and there were a few bugs in corners here and there (mostly not living). The water there was beautiful and the access to canoes, kayaks, and golf cart were very nice. The hot tub on the really nice deck was excellent! Overall, it was maybe a 3.5....I would bump it up to a 4 if we would have caught some crabs off the dock but apparently they aren't in season yet.

Summary: Maryellen is a very hospitable, and thoughtful hostess providing everything that is needed. She has lots of great recommendations for exploring the local area. The studio was exactly as advertised, also providing extras. The crab feast was excellent. We recommend this rental for anyone looking for peace and quiet, wonderful scenery, and outdoor activities.

Summary: We were warmly welcomed by Emmy and Jerry ,the proprietors of the place. We enjoyed the serene and tranquility of the area , away from crowds and noises. It is a very private place to unwind and to relax. We enjoyed crabbing as one of the good part of our 2 days stay. We were given a free crabfeast on our second day.All in all, we had a wonderful time and hope to be back in the near future. Thanks to Emmy and Jerry for their warm hospitality.

Summary: Emma and Jerry were great hosts at this pet friendly property. They provided steamed crabs from their crab pots and ensured we felt at home. They are making some awesome upgrades to the place and unnecessarily apologized- there truly was no inconvenience. Emmy provided great tips on exploring the area. Can’t wait to go back.

Summary: My husband, daughter, and I had a great time! Jerry and Maryellen, we thank you both for being great hosts! It was a very relaxing stay! Maryellen was amazing with the lists of places we should visit, like Crazy Crab restaurant! The food there was incredible!! The neighborhood community pool was great too!! The Crabfest and boat ride with our hosts were so much!! Our daughter loved her raft ride!! Our dog Rocky even enjoyed himself with his buddy McGee!! My daughter took off on the golf carts, lol!! Summary: The view was wonderful. It lightly rained a few days but that was okay. We had the pool all to ourselves the first day. The crab feast was great. I had enough to bring some home and pick through and may make crab imperial. The host was very generous and kind. Lovely stay. P.S. There was NO mold. That review was CRAZY!!!
