Positive: The place and location are stunning — beautiful surroundings, incredible architecture, and a cosy atmosphere throughout the building. The stories behind it are really interesting and definitely worth asking about. The lady who hosted us was absolutely incredible — friendly, helpful, informative, and very caring. She made our experience and stay 100% better than we expected. We were lucky to be the only guests, and it truly felt like we received special treatment. The breakfast she served and the room she placed us in were mind-blowing. It was my birthday stay, and she made the day and celebration sooooooooo much more special for me.
Summary: A truly rare find — one of the most incredible experiences we’ve had in years.

Positive: Hugo, the Inn Keeper, was maybe the best host we've ever experienced. He made us feel so incredibly welcome and was full of suggestions about where to go and drives to take. We cooked our own dinner in the kitchen provided in the annex building but he invited us over to the main lodge to eat it in the lovely main room and set a beautiful table for us, offering and pouring an excellent bottle of wine (we bought 2, it was so good) and surprising us with waffles for dessert. Breakfast was a plentiful spread with many options from yogurt/granola to cold cuts and fruit. Lots more than that. All super fresh and beautifully presented. And when we said goodbye he sent us off with warm waffles for the road.
Negative: Nothing! Everything was spectacular.
Summary: An exceptional stay. Made even better by an exceptional host.

Positive: Building with impressive history, fully renovated. Attractive classical design inside with furniture. Very clean. Kitchen equipped with all necessary stuff. Big territoty around to walk.

Positive: We had a fantastic stay at Phillipshaugen. Our host was so welcoming and attentive, telling us about the history of the hotel and making sure we had everything we needed. Our room had the most beautiful view of the valley and an extremely comfortable bed. We enjoyed relaxing in the communal lounge with the log fire in the evening and were very satisfied with the delicious breakfast spread which included delicious waffles and the best cup of tea we've found in Norway so far!
Negative: Nothing!
Summary: A comfortable and cosy stay, we left feeling super relaxed!

Positive: The surrounding scenery is a spectacular. The room, though very tiny, has a great Mountain View. The common room, where we had breakfast, had a fireplace, comfortable sofa, a piano and lots of board game. The breakfast is simple but good thing is the bread is warm and yummy. The property provides a kitchen where we can cook and store our food in the fridge. To shower is good with hot stable water.
Negative: We had no idea that all the rooms at this property have no en suite bathroom and we had to use the shared shower and restroom.

Positive: Location is stunning, really beautiful place. Lodge was cosy and hosts were accommodating.
Negative: Food wasn’t amazing, use of the sauna was NOK 550, had to pay extra for the cot, some parts of the apartment weren’t 100% clean.

Positive: The accommodation was adequate for the price. We were satisfied - nice cottage close to the good freeride skiing tours with a nice view. Everything is heard in a wooden cottage, so it is important to maintain a quiet night. The accommodation staff was helpful and pleasant.
