Summary: Big Brown is spacious, clean, well appointed and charmingly retro. Deck and beach are fantastic! We have stayed twice and plan to make it an annual summertime getaway.

Summary: The dock where we tied up the ski boat had only one screw in each cleat. The bumpers along the whole side of the dock were pulling away with screws exposed, making getting into the boat a challenge. One senior took a bad fall on the steps near the beach. The driveway is steep and the steps from the road are rough. The air conditioning in the top floor was not working.

Summary: Big Brown is a fantastic place! It's big, clean, well stocked and located along a beautiful piece of lake front at Calm Cove. We stayed 3 nights with our 2 and 5 year old kiddos. Other friends with young kids visited as well. Spent the days on the beach playing in the water and using the kayaks & paddle boards provided. Dinners outside on the large upper deck. Ping pong and darts downstairs. This place has it all!

Summary: Great dock for boats, fishing, and swimming. Has absolutely everything you need and more! Perfect setting for hanging out with friends, putting together puzzles, and having drinks! Thanks Big Brown for hosting a week of unforgettable fun!

Summary: We had a great time beating the heat during this late June heat wave. The A/C downstairs worked great, and we did OK not having A/C upstairs. Everyone enjoyed jumping off the dock, kayaking, swimming, and relaxing in the hot tub. Fun family vacation!

Summary: The place felt pretty dated and did not have retro charm...just kinda old -was really cold, especially in basement. My kids were freezing at night -linens were threadbare -ping pong table was wedged in corner and barely accessible -hot tub was broken — they told us and gave a partial refund, but we only found out about it 3 days before.
