5 Bedroom Cottage in Division No. 11, Golden Days

Beautifully furnished 1100 Sq ft. beach front cedar log cabin. 3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, huge open beam living room with wood burning fireplace and massive high top bar that seats 12. 16 x 40 front covered deck seats at least 12 and boasts massive fire table and BBQ as well as 2 heating lamps. All tied into propane so no need for bottles. Also on deck, 12 man hot-tub. Additional outdoor decks lead to cantilevered deck over lake. Outdoor deck and stairs lead to upper bunkhouse which boasts 2 large King bedrooms, gas fireplace, pull out sofa couch, full bathroom and self contained kitchenette with another gas BBQ off patio doors to private deck. This property with 2 separate living quarters totals 5 bedrooms + pull out couch in upper loft.
Every amenity is included: newer beds, bedding, blankets for chilly deck nights, deck furniture, washer/dryer, microwave... any utensils and cookware you may need. Also has A/C in both units. Enjoy the main cedar cabin, and invite guests or older family members to enjoy a quiet retreat in the upper 800 sq. ft. unit. Wi-Fi included.
Golf courses close by, convenience store/gas station 2 miles away and Thorsby is a quick 12 min. drive for food, liquor store, restaurant. "The Village" area (20 minutes south) offers quaint shopping stores, more restaurants and an 18 hole golf course.
A 9 hole golf course is 5 minutes to the east.
We have a play centre for public use at the end of our street (dead-end) so a block walk for the little ones. We have a private pier so you are welcome to bring your boat. Sorry, no lift.
Absolutely no smoking. 1 small dog only (leash outside of yard)

Summary: Just came back from a week at pigeon lake with my extended family, age 12~72. It was unanimous that there isn’t a bad bed in the cottage! Everyone commented on comfort of sleeping quarters. It’s an older cabin with quirks, but it was super clean, super stocked with towels and bedding, and still a superior set up. So you have to look for light switches up high, no biggie! The separate suite over garage is newer and so convenient to still have a place to isolate if your family is loud! And again fully stocked and super comfortable beds! Lakefront!! This is the dream! Nice decking (a few levels for seniors or toddlers but we had no issues). Alberta lakes are known for not being the best. But pigeon was decent, shallow and kids never complained! Suggest water shoes for ideal water play! The sand in front was great to bury kids, build sandcastles or set up spike ball! The screened in front porch was amazing to sit to watch the sun set over the lake or watch the storms roll in! Would highly recommend and would book again…if I haven’t convinced my family to get our own! If I had to “find a fault” I’d say If bringing a boat, presently the docking works, but is not ideal. And we had issues trying to watch tv on a stormy day but it wasn’t worth contacting owner to ask. I’m sure she would have helped but we all had gadgets to rely on and instead watched the storm from the covered porch! Lol happy vrboing!

Summary: We stayed at Jenny & Glen’s cabin with our 4 teenage children. I Can’t say enough good about this Property! Fully stocked, tons of space, VERY comfy beds, tons of towels, blankets etc. Not to mention the lovely location right on the water. The screened in covered deck was just amazing! Jenny was easy to communicate with, very accommodating and helpful! I highly recommend it and we will definitely look at returning! Jen & Willem

Summary: This cottage was amazing! We were a family coming together from BC, Alberta, Ontario and Michigan. There was plenty of room for all 9 of us. The view of the lake was gorgeous, and even when Mother nature did not cooperate, we could still sit in the enclosed patio and enjoy the beautiful view. Beds comfortable, shower pressure great, and all the available cooking utensils, made for a perfect home away from home. Also, 3 fridges just in the main cabin alone, meant you were never very far from your next drink! We caught multiple big walleye and pickerel off the dock, too bad we couldn't keep them. Played lots of games and we all had a fantastic time. We did not want to leave! Thank you Jenny and Glen!
