The Pin Oak Guest House is located on nearly 3 wooded acres outside beautiful LaGrange, Kentucky. It is minutes from the I-71 expressway and a perfect location for any event in Louisville, Kentucky. It is located 26 miles (25 min) from Churchill Downs, 28 miles (33 min) from Louisville International Airport, 23 miles (25 min) from downtown Louisville. Historic downtown LaGrange, Yew Dell Botanical Gardens, and Kentucky Artisan Distillery are all within 5 miles. Restaurants, grocery stores and shopping are just minutes away.
This is a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath ranch-style house. It was recently updated with log frame beds and very comfortable new mattresses. There is a spacious living room with a wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is furnished with premium high end appliances. Located just off of the kitchen is a large family room with a TV. The house comes with a two car garage available for use. It also has an abundance of outdoor deck space and a fire pit.
We have recently added more space to this property with a large finished basement area. This space includes a kitchenette, fireplace, large family room area, laundry room, and a full bath.
The house has Dish Network satellite TV, Netflix access, DVD player, and Internet. A Keurig Coffee Maker is also provided.

Summary: The home itself was a very beautiful layout. Was just the right distance from the city life to feel at home. Pool was under the shade from surrounding trees which made the water colder which was great during the heat. Would for sure recommend to others. Basement was great for a game night.

Summary: The home is located in a lovely wooded neighborhood and, had the weather been nicer, we definitely would have taken walks. Its location was perfect for us to visit our family members in Crestwood and La Grange for Thanksgiving weekend gatherings. The owners provided an assortment of keurig coffees, which was a nice touch. We did not use the fireplace, but wood was also provided. Would recommend renters bring kindling and fire-starters, though, if they actually intend to make a fire. There are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a 1/2 bath and the hall bathroom has a tub/shower. The kitchen has a huge refrigerator/freezer with an ice and water dispenser, microwave oven, keurig and traditional coffeemakers, and a gas stove that any cook would love to use! The homeowners also provide plenty of dishes, flatware, glasses, spice rack, and assorted cookware/appliances that you would likely find in your own home. All of the furnishings and mattresses were comfortable. The den has a TV with cable and DVD player. The master bedroom has a TV with DVD player. There is wifi. The living room with fireplace has no TV, so it proved to be a nice respite for reading and listening to music on our bluetooth devices. My family of 4 had plenty of room to enjoy time together or quiet time alone. There is 2-car garage available for use, but our full-size truck with cap was too tall to fit inside. Without the cap, it would have easily cleared the garage door. The pool is seasonally available, so we cannot speak to that. Didn't see it actually. We would definitely stay here again if it is available for our next trip.

Summary: Inside of house was clean and comfortable Problem is we went for the pool The patio and pool area in need of major TLC If pool doesn't get major attention it will be out of service in 2-3 years The outdoor sound system was a 12 inch boom box We had to clean patio chairs and table Couldn't use pool lounge chairs because they were filthy All in all not bad

Summary: At the last minute I needed a 3 bedroom rental for me and my cousins. Found this new listing and was quite impressed at the condition and price. I booked it ASAP. Neighborhood was exceptionally pretty and quiet. Lovely to be able to park in the garage! I liked the 2nd living area for adult conversation after kids went to bed. New bathrooms & kitchen (fully stocked) and what seemed like new mattresses and comforters. Very comfy beds. Overall a very nice property and would definitely stay again!

Summary: The Pin Oak house is truly a hidden gem! The house was extremely clean and the pool was awesome with adequate seating on the deck. Quiet, shaded lot. The beds are AWESOME - so comfy! We would definitely book this house again if ever in the area!

Summary: We really enjoyed staying in the house. It's way better than a hotel. One thing I didn't find was an extra set of sheets for someone sleeping on the couch. Another thing is there is a step from garage to house and everything inside is raised up except for the family room so someone in a wheel chair will have to have somebody to get them up and down those areas. The 1&1/2 bathrooms were nice since there were 4 of us. Pool was a little dirty (sand on bottom) but was nice and refreshing. I liked that we were able to pull into the garage to get out of vehicle although the weather was beautiful while we were there. Easy to find, close to stores, restaurants, gas stations and highways. Great place to stay if going to the Ark Encounter (1 hour) & 4th Street (1/2 hour) for excellent dining, spirits and music. All around great place to stay!

Summary: This location was perfect for what we needed for our quick trip to Louisville. We wanted a place that was relatively close to Louisville and had enough parking for 2 vehicles and small trailers. The owner of the house also let us use the garage (Thank you). It is a very quiet neighborhood and nice older home with great space. The pool looked nice, but we did not get a chance to use it.

Summary: Wr had an amazing stay at this home. We rented for 2 nights for its closeness to my daughters wedding venue. Night one was for a night before girls night and it was so peaceful sitting around the pool. Night two, the bride and groom stayed there for their wedding night. It was everything as described. We live in nearby Indiana so I do not see much need to rent again the future but I would definately recommend it.
