Summary: All that worked very well. Parking was easy and since it is winter, no need for air. Power was off for days, luckily came on at 7:30pm on the day we checked in. Not anyones fault though. The hotel sraff was very accommadating.

Summary: Unable to sleep, mattress has sink holes in pillow top, aggravated my sciatica and gave me a miserable next day. Hub could not sleep either. Beautiful room! Clean bathroom! Big showerhead, hot water, good pressure. Loved towels. Super Front Desk staff, wonderful lobby seating areas, loved the parking. Easy walking distance to all. But who cares about all that if you can't sleep? Friends in other hotel had better ocean view and did not pay for it. No way to relax and enjoy view, have to move chair and stand to see it. Also, windows from several rooms open onto walkable roof, easy to break into rooms if window is open. I would stay again in a heartbeat if you get new mattresses.

Summary: Loved the historic nature of the hotel and its location in town and near the ocean. Wish there were an elevator for those like me who are handicapped.

Summary: The Pine Inn is a historic hotel. For the price we paid and location of the hotel-in the heart of Carmel, it was fine but I would not recommend. Rooms did not have fridges or coffee makers and very few electrical outlets. Biggest complaint was that sheets and towels smelled like wet dog. Cleanliness of carpet at furniture also questionable. No a/c which is uncommon in Carmel but our room was stuffy. Hotel did provide fan which helped. Also, parking is nightmare especially on weekends. We arrived Saturday afternoon and had to find street parking for two hours and then keep checking back until a spot was available on hotel lot.

Summary: Location is good. Can reach to some good restaurants quickly. The room facility is clean. The pity part is, the room we had stayed had pretty bad voice isolation, we can hear next door's conversation very clearly.
