Positive: We had a spectacular, wonderful steak bar-b-que on our first night. Waking up to a gorgeous view of the valley and Lake Windermere. Was close to Radium and Fairmont Hot Springs. Got our famous sausages from the Bakery. Great trip to the Windermere Graveyard and showed the family, their families grave sites. Used to come back every year with my grandkids to visit my Aunt Joy, but came back this year to show their parents what they missed.
Negative: Couldn't have been better. So accommodating. Bedrooms with a view! What's not to like!!!! Bar-B-Q in the open air! Can't say enough.
Summary: Just a wonderful time! At the property and all through the towns!

Positive: It was nice to have a fenced backyard for the dogs and the basement unit stayed cool during the hot days. The view from the downstairs walkout deck is beautiful. The bedrooms were spacious and the bathrooms were well set-up. The host had a nice plate of home baked cookies welcoming you to her home. The location is in a quiet residential area.
Negative: The beds were quite firm and not very comfortable, and only queen-sized options were available. Given the spacious bedrooms, it would be worth considering upgrading to king beds. The hot water was only warm—not hot—which was disappointing. We reached out to the host about it, and while she was initially a bit defensive, she did come down to check the hot water tank. She agreed that when she put her hand into the water in the showers that the water was not hot. She reset the breakers and asked if I could "hear that", assuming that this was the big fix to the problem. It felt like the issue was being temporarily managed rather than actually resolved by adjusting the temperature setting. One of the TVs in the bedroom wasn’t working. If you're planning to cook during your stay, be aware that the kitchen setup is minimal but adequate. The main couch cushions constantly slid out, which was more annoying than anything. Also, if you’re bringing pets, take note: the host has a strict policy about not leaving dogs unattended in the unit. We had asked if we could leave our well-behaved dogs while we went golfing to avoid leaving them in a hot car during 30°C+ weather, but were told stories of past damage. However, she agreed to allow us to leave them unattended. I feel if you are allowing pets in your rental unit and you are charging a damage deposit then you should allow the pet owner at their descretion to leave pets unattended. We came to Invermere to enjoy the outdoors, golfing and swimming where pets are not allowed. So if my dog does damage make me pay for it. While we take responsibility for not reading the listing more closely, we didn’t realize the rental was the basement of the host’s home. The unit isn’t soundproof—you can hear everything from upstairs. At $600 per night, had we known we wouldn’t have full privacy, we likely would have booked a house.
Summary: Pleasant Enough Stay - But for the price I would not stay here again.

Positive: Stacey our host was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had been emailed all of the information about accessing the property but due to some issues accessing my emails I hadn't picked up the door code and instructions so Stacey was very good at helping us to get in and settled. The bedrooms are very big, the beds are comfy and the decor is incredibly welcoming and stylish. The living area was very cosy. We enjoyed great views from our bedrooms and living area and were able to keep the windows open due to the fly screens keeping the midges away (I seem to attract them wherever I go!!) We were also able to enjoy the outside seating area in the garden. The shower and bath facilities were good. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed being able to eat in after a shop at Sobey's. The location is ideal as you have elevated views out over the lake but the town centre is only minutes away. We really enjoyed our 3 nights there, so peaceful. I have no hesitation in recommending the accommodation and the town.
Summary: Very peaceful, comfortable and cosy
