2 Bedroom Cottage in Katikati

Come and unwind with nature at our self contained cottage. The perfect spot to de-stress, in an idyllic setting beside the river. With large grounds, spa pool and covered deck to enjoy the privacy, peace and quiet. You won't want to go home.
Only 5 minutes from Katikati township, cafes and supermarket. Waihi Beach, Karangahake Gorge, Tauranga and Mt. Maunganui all close by. Plenty of attractions in surrounding area (if you can drag yourself away) .
Our cottage is compact but clean and comfortable. The water is filtered and safe for drinking from the kitchen. The TV has freeview and you are welcome to bring your own Sky de-coder. It also has USB, HDMI inputs, so BYO music and/or movies.
The metal driveway previously wound down to the cottage through our pine forest, which has now been harvested, but the oasis at the bottom is still as welcoming as before. Check out our previous reviews - pre 2009.
Special conditions:
Two night minimum stay. Ideal for couples wanting to chill out.
Children welcome but must be fully supervised due to close proximity of river.
Limited Wi-Fi available by arrangement only
Driveway not suitable for boats or caravans, but plenty of parking elsewhere on property.
Advised to bring insect repellent as midgees can sometimes be a problem.
Extras: Linen and towels (included); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave.

Summary: This is the most picturesque setting for a Bach. The river is right beside the cabin and there is bush and trees all around. It is completely private and off the grid. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Summary: Honestly we could live here. The home was private, warm, comfortable and had a great deck to sit and watch the bird life and listen to the river. The outside spa was a lovely indulgence. To sit outside, soaking in a warm spa, watching the trees was a slice of heaven. The home was clean, tidy and kitchen well equipped. We definitely want to return here one day.

Summary: A gem of property in a stunning secluded location near the river. The cottage is well equipped, and very comfortable with the bonus of a spa pool. We absolutely loved our stay and were warmly welcomed by our lovely hosts. Highly recommend and we hope to return again in the near future

Summary: I totally enjoyed my stay there. Very peaceful and picturesque. The bush surrounds next to the river, the birdsong and a good soak in the spa pool were the highlights for me. Exactly what I was after. The cabin was very comfortable with everything you need. The hosts were lovely, showing me to and around the place, and were there if I needed them but left me to my privacy too. Highly recommended stay. I can’t wait to go back again. Thank you.
