Positive: The apartment is inside a very old but luxurious hotel. Not our style. The location is excellent. The restaurant in the hotel is less relevant, very European, and so are the prices. There is a supermarket nearby, a 5-minute drive away. And there are many excursions in the area.
Negative: It says that there is air conditioning in the apartment but in reality there is only air conditioning in the living room and not in the two bedrooms. In addition, there are no screens on the windows and when we opened them because it was hot, huge wasps came into the apartment. There is a fan in each bedroom. (Not enough for hot days) Also, apart from salt, there were no basic products such as sugar or oil, dishwasher tablets.

Positive: In general, the duplex #401 has everything you need. And the view from the balcony from the 5th floor on the Lago di Lugano is beautiful. The two quiet separate double-bed rooms, one with a firm and the other with a soft mattress, have new bathrooms. The kitchenette is very well equipped. The studio is on the upper floor of the Swiss Diamond Hotel, but privately run. We were able to use the outside pool of the hotel and of course eat at the restaurant on the terrace. The communication with Antonio was very easy and the given informations were complete, very professional and helpful.
Negative: The only downside is that the interior furniture is outdated and would need some revamping to match the name of Platinum. The outdoor table and seating are too large for the size of the balcony. Something which has nothing to do with the studio was the mediocre food at the restaurant and the many somewhat clueless and untrained waiters. Better to get a bottle of a good local wine, some local specialities and enjoy them on the balcony. ;)
