Positive: The breakfast is really nice and so is the pool and the overall location. The staff were nice and helpful.
Negative: We got the smallest room they have at the property. Even thought the staff knew we were coming with a baby and needed a cot still we ended up staying in such a small room that we could not move around the bed and there was literally no space for us in the room. I kindly asked for a bigger room and got rejected twice. There is also no free daily housekeeping.
Summary: The room was extremely small, no free daily housekeeping. Nice breakfast and location!

Negative: The bed (super comfortable and not level for some reason. Could try harder with the room decor as well. Service was slow at dinner but that was just the vibe in Italy I think.

Positive: This place was so away from the world – perfectly isolated, amazing views. The pool is lovely, the tennis court is fun, and the property is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. The air conditioning is excellent! Seemed great for families, there were tons of little kids running around, although the pool would not have been suitable for them. The value for money is outstanding.
Negative: It felt a little bit like an upscale hostel – lo fi music on outside all the time, slightly cheap, modern furniture, and just generally a little ad hoc. Definitely don't recommend the room right off the lobby – the balcony was gorgeous but we had to go out to ask them to turn the lobby music off in the evening and you can hear the dishes being done in the kitchen.

Positive: It was the airbnb that I felt most taken care of, from welcoming till the end. Thank you for everything. The house was very clean and very well decorated that creates a feeling of “home”. The view does not need that much of a description, it was just amazing.
Negative: The entrance to the parking place was narrow, but we still managed it with Audi Q8. You don’t need a small car necessarily, but it would be easier with a small one. (For just the last minutes of driving left to reach to the house) To go to como center from the house takes about half an hour without the traffic (was actually fun to drive with all that view).

Positive: We stayed at Podere Castellare for a week, and the time flew by! From the moment we arrived until we checked out, the staff was incredibly helpful. We arrived late but received clear instructions on how to check in, along with recommendations for getting to the hotel from the airport, as we couldn’t hire a car on the first day. Breakfast was lovely. On the first day, we struggled to find lunch since most places nearby were closed on Sundays, but the receptionist went to check with the chef, and they cooked something for us, which was really lovely. She also helped us and guided us on how to take a bus to the city to rent a car. We booked one dinner at their restaurant, and it was delicious! The fresh ingredients and homey atmosphere made it feel special. The hotel itself is simple, minimal, and beautifully designed, with great attention to detail—perfect for a relaxing getaway from the city. I highly recommend this place, and the prices are very reasonable!
Negative: I wish there were more non-pork savory options available at breakfast. Other than that, everything was great!
