Our classic, Federal style home, was built in 1820, and completely renovated to the highest standard a few years ago. Once a private home and business, Point Mountain Guest House is now available to those with distinguished taste and an appreciation for special places. Whether you are visiting your children at French Woods Camp, plying the wild trout waters of the Upper Delaware River System, exploring the Catskills on a motorcycle, or attending a wedding or event, your time at Point Mountain Guest House, will be a memorable part of your time in the charming Village of Hancock.
Amenities:
2200 square foot apartment (upstairs), 1st floor undergoing light renovation. Rental is for the entire 2nd level
Master Bedroom – queen bed, dresser, chest of drawers, nightstand, room features a custom tin ceiling and walk in cedar closet
Bedroom 2 – queen bed, bunk bed, dresser, chest of drawers, nightstand, room features a hand carved beam supports, and a massive, salvaged, backlit stained glass window.
1 full bath set on Italian tile, with a classic clawfoot tub & shower, toilet, bidet, and pedestal sink
Dining Room – Seating for 10 around a reclaimed table from the 1800’s, room features a custom tin ceiling, chandelier, and a pair of backlit stained glass windows that were salvaged from a church. A perfect setting for a meeting or dinner party.
Kitchen – full size refrigerator, reclaimed machinist’s desk, farm style sink, stainless steel prep table, and stainless steel range, and fully outfitted with quality housewares. Bright, airy, and very well appointed. Bring your own chef. (or hire Mike for your time here)

Summary: Everything was better and bigger than the photo shows. Nice spacious rooms and the dining table is massive. The kitchen is very well laid out and equipped. If I'm ever staying in the Hancock area again I'm going to try to book this place again!

Summary: Mike is an amazing host and this property is absolutely beautiful. Everything on the upper floor has been renovated and is in tip top shape. This is absolutely the ideal location if you are picking up/dropping off your kids at nearby camps like French Woods (which is only an 11 minute drive from the house). 10/10 would recommend! I will 10000% be back next time I am visit the FWF campus.

Summary: Our family (3 generations) had a wonderful stay in this lovely Hancock house in October, just as the Fall color was coming in. The place was spotless, Mike was communicative and helpful, and the layout was perfect for our group. We enjoyed plenty of of clean towels, comfy beds, and artful furniture that is well above the norm for a holiday rental. Our 11 year old loved the bunk bed! For activities we went to a Fall Festival at the Hancock Town Square, walked by the river, and explored the nature center across the street. We took turns in the decadent clawfoot tub - it's huge enough that if you have smaller kids you could put them all in there at once. Satellite internet was a little slow on cloudy days - we weren't there to work so not a big deal for us, but if your backup plan for a rainy day is to stream a bunch of movies you might want to rethink that idea. Instead, the epic dining table is perfect for setting up a board game or jigsaw puzzle at one end, while leaving plenty of room for family dining at the other end. We especially appreciated that it wasn't booked in with other people right before and after us. We've been COVID-cautious, and the rental felt very safe and clean. Highly recommended!

Summary: I stayed here with 5 lifelong friends for a weekend of cooking meals and board games. Mike was the perfect host and very welcoming over the phone. This second floor apartment was immaculate with comfortable beds/sheets, living room couches, and dining room chairs, a beautiful outdoor patio with seating, and a huge dining room table for enjoying time with your guests. The kitchen is full of high end appliances and for those interested in grilling, a professional-grade pellet grill is found on the porch, which requires special instructions and some cleaning but will cook your food perfectly. Mike was kind enough to recommend a ~90 min waterfall/ledge hike called The Ledges which was about a 20 minutes drive from the apartment (4x4 or AWD recommended to reach trailhead parking lot). We enjoyed it and picked up delicious ice cream at The Cow Lick on the way home. Overall, I highly recommend you stay here.
