Positive: Lynda was such an accomodating and helpful host! We were later than expected on arrival but she was flexible and came out to meet us, show us around and offered awesome advice about local restaurants and things to do. The chalet was beautiful, very quiant with everthing we needed and gorgeous views! Can't wait to visit again when the pool is open!
Negative: It was a little cold on both nights - I couldn't find extra blankets or the electric blanket remote but absolutely forgot to ask Lynda - which was my mistake as I'm sure she would have helped us immediatley!

Positive: Our rating is a bit weather driven as it rained for much of our stay. The view was great, especially from the bedroom, such a shame we couldn't use the lovely deck. A lovely peaceful place yet only 5 minutes or so from the centre of Russell - we felt a million miles away. The big bed was really comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and included a washing machine and dryer. Big cushy armchairs in the lounge. There were a couple of surf kayaks available which my husband tried but the weather was way too wild. Lovely waking up to the mist between the hills over the water. Lynda was really friendly and easy to communicate with.
Negative: The weather but sadly the host has no say in that!

Positive: The house was warm and bright,lovely and peaceful with beautiful bird song and bush. Everything we needed for our family of four.
Negative: We didn't like the fact that on our last day we were contacted over some missing towels,the holiday went down hill from there and the thought that we had taken them ruined our lovely holiday. I was contacted four days later to find out the towels were there all along.

Positive: Was a gorgeous little spot located with its own shared private bay area. Was awesome havign access to the kayaks as we were able to openly explore what we may have missed otherwise. Felt so safe and secure plus the kitchen facilities were absolutuley perfect for what we needed.
Negative: didn't want to leave :( , however, one downfall is the cost of transport between Russell and Paihia - if you are doing lots of activities in Paihia - more often for touristy destinations ect - the ferry is the quickest option however is at least $18 per ride.
Summary: Beautiful chalet perfect for shared break from the noise of life with one or a group of people!
