Sitting Room with two sofas with an armchair around an inglenook fireplace with log burner and a Smart TV. The further end of the sitting room is perfect for reading and has 2 further armchairs and a large dresser with board games. Door to staircase leading into Bedroom 4 and the first floor.

Bathroom with tiled floor, has a large shower cubicle, heated towel rail w.c. and hand basin
Dining Room with original herringbone brick floor and round dining table with eight chairs and an antique dresser
Kitchen with a quarry tiled floor and original inglenook fireplace housing a feature Esse stove (non-functioning). There is an electric range oven with a 5 ring gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, and 2 fridges. There is also an oval dining table with dining chairs and a cd player with a radio. Door to Staircase and first floor.

Summary: We booked this property for extended family and pets. Prior to the check in the owner the owner asked us if we came with a dog (which I believe we had mentioned on the reservation form, as it is mentioned on the confirmation email). He tells me there is a fee for dogs, which I volunteer to pay directly. Unfortunately the dog damaged doormat and we've had an incident with the kettle, which we disclosed immediately - after disclosing it to the booking agency owner proceeded to call me 6 times and leaving me voicemails to "know the extent of the damages". There were none, as we've been very careful with the property, and both damages were unfortunate accidents. It appears that our honesty served against us, since after we checked out they proceeded to charge us for damages we did not do - an oversized discoloration on the piano that was there when we came in, and a burn on the sofa in a room we did not use and there are no smokers in the party. Seeing the email I called the owner immediately (3-May-23) to state that I recognized the damages we did but my disagreement with the additional charges. He proceeded to explain that his checkout team knows the property very well since they do the check ins and check outs. It seems that he also knows his property very well since he is so close to the rental process, and also explained to me that he was to go there in a couple of days. I also explained that if they let pass damages with prior rentals, it was not a reason to charge them on us. I also had to justify myself that we did not use the living room with the TV - he seemed surprised that people could spend a few days in the country side without watching tv. He hung up grumpy about the time required to manage this, but left me under the impression that it would be corrected. After a few follow-ups by phone, email and text, he has gone silent - and nothing has been reversed.

Summary: What a fantastic location and property for a picture perfect Christmas (sadly no snow!). Lovely, charming and loved family cottages with loads of space and different rooms to occupy. Well appointed facilities and contact so easy getting in and settled. Roaring fire kept us toasty and the dog loved the local walks.

Summary: Lovely old cottage charm in a very quiet village. Perfect for that hideaway holiday, but you’ll definitely need a car to get around, buy supplies, visit pubs etc.

Summary: Totally charming cottage with a beautiful garden to relax in. Lovely quiet village, lots of walks. Well equipped kitchen, just overall a lovely place to come and rest and spend time with loved ones. Cosy fireplaces and plenty of wood to get a great fire going. Helpful owner and clear instructions for everything.
