Beautiful three bedroom house plus two bedroom garage apartment. 1940's lake cottage on the west side of Possum Kingdom Lake! You can enjoy the views of the lake while swimming in the gorgeous pool or relaxing on the patio. This is a great family get away or a girls/guys weekend!
**No dock on property. No lake access from property. There are boat launches within a few miles of the property.
**NO PETS ALLOWED
** We have security cameras on the outside of the house.
While swimming in our large pool enjoy views of the lake! There's a big tanning ledge and bar stools on the opposite side in the shade. There is plenty of outdoor seating around the pool to lay in the sun. You can play a game of darts. Be sure you bring your own portable speaker to enjoy music by the pool!
Gas grill on front porch & charcoal grill outback (charcoal is NOT provided).
You have access to the main house, garage apartment and pool. The 4 car garage is not accessible to guests.
**All vehicles including boats, jet skis, etc must be parked in the driveway. No parking allowed on the grass.
The property manager is available in emergency situations. The information can be found in the binder in the dining room.
The master bedroom has a king bed and TV. There is wall fire/heat unit to produce extra heat in the winter. There is a closet for storage. The master bath is connected with a shower.
Bedroom 2 has a king bed. This bedroom opens to the living area. There are french doors that also lead into bedroom 3.
Bedroom 3 has a queen bed and views of the pool and lake. You will pass through bedroom 2 to access bedroom 3.
The living area has plenty of seating with two sofas, two recliners and two leathers chairs with ottomans. Everyone has a place to sit! There is a TV with satellite channels and a fireplace.
Garage Apartment
Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. There is a window A/C unit and a wall fire/heat unit to produce extra heat in the winter.
Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and twin bunkbeds. There is a window A/C unit and a wall fire/heat unit to produce extra heat in the winter.
Living area has a pool table and sitting area with TV. There are two window A/C units, no central air, in the apartment. There is a small patio off the living area.
Outside the screened in porch has a fireplace and a table with chairs with darts.
There are two restaurants nearby: Fox Hollow and Possum Hollow. Possum Hollow offers carry-out pizza. Both also offer boat slips that you can rent which is a good option since our property does not have a dock. You might need to book in advance. Possum Hollow has a convenient store for any last minute items you might have forgotten. If you would like to rent a boat those options are on the east side of the lake.
*Please note that our pool service comes weekly on Wednesday and does their best to be finished by 4:00pm. The pool service must be completed weekly to ensure the pool is clean. This is non-negotiable.
*Please keep in mind that this is an older home in a country setting. While we love our property and do our best to maintain it, occasionally insects make their way inside. We keep some spray under the sink in case it is needed. One for insects and one for wasps.
*There are a few stair steps on all porches with no hand railing. There is also no hand railing in the pool.
*There is wildlife in the area, do not leave food or trash outside. All trash should be INSIDE the trash bins with the lid closed.

Summary: This is the second time we have rented this property and it was just as wonderful as the first. Great place to get away and relax with family. We had no issues at all while we were there and plan on coming back again next year.

Summary: The house itself is great, the pool is a fabulous asset, with a small view of the lake, it’s a really beautiful and a fun area to be, has a screened in porch. There’s a fire pit at the bottom on the outside, and also a fireplace in the screened in porch if you were to be there in the winter. I like how they made an older house look newer. They do need to up their inspection some: The living room lights did not work at all when we got there, so we quickly wrote about that before nightfall because we wouldn’t have been able to see and hang out there, and they did send someone, so we appreciated that. The refrigerator did not work, it wasn’t cold enough to keep foods edible so we had to throw some of our food out after realizing this the next day, and then keep the rest our food in our coolers and had to go get ice, the screen door going out to the swimming pool was all busted on the bottom making the thick metal stick out and gouged one of my friends foot, it was all you could do to tug it open, The fire pit had a plastic bottle of fire fuel just thrown in there not put in the trash, The back glass door had Coke spewed all across the wall and running down the glass on the doors and windows, so basically it just looks like no one really walks around and looks at the property, I’m sure they cleaned everything on the inside, it wasn’t that it was dirty, it was just a lot of things that didn’t work, but if all of those were fixed I would still go back and stay at this house again, it was really nice and the potential is there. We enjoyed that it had space for five of us to sleep and we were all comfortable. It definitely has plenty of room for six people, for sleeping and dining and hanging out in the living room, everything you would need for a vacation! Once they start making rounds and doing inspections on the things that people use, it will be a perfect place!
