3 Bedroom House in Cadiz

Beautiful lakeview three bedroom ( third bedroom is open loft with 4 single beds), 1 1/2 bath home in Lake Barkley's Little River Estates in Cadiz, KY. This home was built new in 2011 and is only minutes from 3 boat ramps, as well as minutes by boat to Lake Barkley Lodge. Home features a fully stocked kitchen, High Speed WIFI ( No cable TV ) , linens, towels, washer/dryer and huge screened in porch with full bar and big screen TV and tile floors in every room! Each bedroom, including the loft, has its own tv and WIFI. Plenty of board games, Wii and DVD's for kids. This home is simply a great place to relax and get away. We are located only 6 miles from downtown Cadiz, 6 miles from Prizer Point Marina, 15 miles to Land Between the Lakes Recreation area and 30 miles to Grand Rivers, KY.
There is plenty of parking for 2 to 3 boats and trucks without having to unhook everything at night. There is a covered awning with electricity so one boat can stay covered and you can charge your batteries at night. This is a great amenity for bass or crappie fisherman.
RV electrical hook up at the house. Also, parking lot can accommodate camper with 220 V hookups.
Layout: Sleeps 8
Bedroom 1 - Queen bed sleeps 2 plus small toddler bed in room. TV and 4K Roku Remote.
Bedroom 2 - Queen bed sleeps 2. TV and DVD player, 4K Roku Remote.
Loft - 4 Single beds upstairs sleeps 4. TV and DVD player.
Living Room has huge fireplace ( the fireplace is not functional) with TV, 4K Roku and Wii. Two wireless routers for Mediacom Internet ( mesh routers one for inside, one on outside for porch). Tenant should have Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or other streaming account to enjoy the TV's. Roku remotes and Amazon Fire sticks are provided on all TV's to enjoy streaming services.
House also has 2 couches if needed. Tile floors are very durable and make cleaning a breeze.
Kitchen:
All pots and pans, two electric skillets, two crock pots, two deep fryers and two Margaritaville Margarita/Daiquiri making machine in bar area, as well as plenty of beer and wine glasses. Refrigerator has ice-maker, Weber grill on back porch PLUS charcoal grill and Weber Smokie Joe Smoker. Deep freeze on porch for extra ice storage.
CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: Check in is at 3pm on the day of arrival. Check out is at 11am, allowing enough time for cleaning, washing and changing linens to prepare for the next guest.

Summary: The kitchen was poorly equipped. No pots or pans. No dish drying towels. No suitable (ceramic or glass) bowls to heat soup. The bowls were all very thin platic that would have cblistered in the microwave- so I purchased a suitable soup mug and drying towels. The utensils could have been cleaner (in my opinion). A (dirty) glass was left on the counter. The sheets had mouse droppings. On the positive side, the owner seemed very nice and made the check-in go smoothly. The location is super quiet. It was great to have a washer and dryer onsite.

Summary: The obvious attraction to this place is the screened in porch with bar and TV as depicted in the pictures. The nice surprise was the open concept inside with a large kitchen with a long bar with plenty of seating inside. It is a great place to entertain a group. The owner, Tony was attentive to our needs. The AC worked well and kept the place nice and cool on some hot days. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: House and property were very well maintained and there was plenty of room for a relaxing and comfortable week for our family. We would definitely recommend this house, and plan to stay again in the future when our travels bring us back to Lake Barkley.

Summary: My family really enjoyed the getaway; it was the perfect set up for Christmas! Plenty of room for cooking, playing games, opening presents, and hanging out. We will definitely return this summer for some fishing and hanging out on the porch. We loved our time at the Poplar House. There are two things that would have made things over the top but not necessarily a desire for other visitors. A working fireplace, and a couple firmer regular height chairs. My father in law found it difficult getting up to the bar stools and hard to get out of the rest of the furniture. Overall it was awesome!!!

Summary: The cabin is really spacious and has lots of sleeping space. The outdoor screened in patio is fabulous. Short walk to lake view. We will surely return!

Summary: We came for a family reunion and wanted to be close enough to everyone. I choose this cabin based on its perfect location and great reviews. I could not have been more pleased. The Cabin is clean, roomy and well equipped and my family of five had a wonderful stay. We had a little struggle with internet TV but Mr. Bills was right on it and helped us to solve our problem. It was a great time and we plan on coming back!
