Summary: My family and I really enjoyed the porch house! Plenty of room for 5 of us; great location close to downtown; property owners were easy to communicate with. Our children particularly enjoyed the Pac Man arcade game in the attic space.

Summary: My wife and I, with our son, daughter in-law and 9 year old grandson had a fantastic 5-night stay at The Porch House in June 2022. The property is located across the street from a very walkable and peaceful park along the shore of the St. Lawrence River, with ample street parking and proximity to plenty of restaurants and grocery stores, and not too far from a couple of subway stations. The property itself was perfect, offering 3-bedrooms, a kitchenette, two bathrooms, and, most importantly for our grandson, a finished attic space with a home entertainment system, TV with streaming services, a Nintendo game console, and …. wait for it … a retro-style, self-standing Pac-Man arcade game that kept our grandson (and the adults) entertained during our down times from visiting Montreal. We had family members visit us during our stay, and so the attic offered a space for the visiting kids to get away from the boring discussions of their parents as we reminisced about ‘the good old days’. The house is also well equipped with supplies, such as water bottles in the fridge, K-cup coffee and hot chocolate pods, tea bags, sugar, salt, pepper, and snacks, cookies, chips. Plenty of dishes and cutlery and cooking utensils were at the ready. The table on one of the two porches with folding chairs were useful for eating outdoors when the weather permitted, and a folding table inside was available when the weather was not so co-operative. Finally, I would be remiss to not mention the property owners Mamun and Katie. They were very friendly, welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and attentive to our needs. Even their young son Aziz was present and willing to play with our grandson during our stay and when our schedules permitted it. Our grandson was so happy to have met him and considers him a friend now. How cool is that! Bottom line … we could not have asked for more from a VRBO. I would rate it 10 out of 5 stars if I could. But 5/5 is all I can do. Thanks to Mamun, Katie, and Aziz for helping to make our family reunion in Montreal such a memorable one!

Summary: A really cozy and comfortable spot, great amenities, and a feeling of being out of the city but with easy and quick access to all that Montreal offers. Nice walks along the river and several games of Pac Man made this a great stay for our families. The hosts were wonderful to deal with. Hope to be back again!
