Positive: The home was beautiful and well cared for with very nice amenities. The owner has put a lot of work into this house. It was located in a lovely river side town. We felt very comfortable here and the owner was very friendly and wanted to ensure we had a wonderful stay. His son was also very, very helpful.

Positive: The most beautifully restored 2-bedroom home in a very small, authentic village just outside Penacova in the Dao Valley. Spacious and incredibly well appointed, with a warm and welcoming vibe. Victor went out of his way to make us feel at home and share his passion for this region: its natural beauty, fantastic wines, unique cheeses and meats. We had a wonderful stay and would return in a heartbeat. The region has so much to offer and Victor is a font of knowledge. His advice was invaluable. Thanks Victor for your incredible warmth and hospitality.

Positive: The apartment is beautifully designed! There is a very large living room/kitchen space. The kitchen is very well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. Best of all, the host was gracious, accommodating, and informative. He even brought over a bag of fresh-picked oranges from his tree! Penacova is a bit out of the way but it's located in a beautiful valley along a scenic river. There's a gentle walking trail along the river (which is a walking route for the Camino Portugués de Santiago).

Positive: Fantastic spacious house with everything you need to make yourself comfortable. Victor helped with local recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. We travelled with our two Labradors who were made very welcome, great riverside walk minutes from the house.

Negative: Had to travel to restaurants but we were happy to do this as everything else was perfect.
