Positive: We had a bedroom with a terrace balcony. We opened the shutters on the first morning to see an incredible view of snow-capped mountains - right there! Lovely friendly hosts, great breakfasts, all levels of walks nearby, loads of nature eg spotted eagles and vultures
Negative: You need a car to get around the area as buses are infrequent.

Positive: The facilities, the location and staff are the BEST I've experienced in over 45 years of traveling abroad. Only a few minutes from Potes and secluded as a subtly elegant and charming place. The owners personally make you feel sooo welcomed. Excellent value. Recommend without reservation.

Positive: Everything. The views of the mountains, the river noise, the fruit trees ( caqui😋),the bonsais, the lamb pasture, and the super attention to detail. We had hike and area books to our disposal , comfy lounge chairs to watch the sunset and enjoy our sidra. The location is magical, perfectly in between Santo Toribio, Potes, Fuente De and Mogrovejo. We slept so well after our hiking days. Parking is easy with plenty of space. Thanks Lourdes for sharing your beautiful space.

Positive: Stunning location, charming authentic accommodation with beautiful garden and pool and extensive sitting areas inside and out. Rooms are comfortable, it's well worth the small amount extra for a lovely terrace . We chose to walk down to either the campsite or the small auberge down the back road in the evenings for simple friendly dinners. Hard to imagine a more idyllic place to be based in Picos de Europa.

Positive: The location of this property is outstanding, it's setting truly magical. It is conveniently situated between visitor attractions but is extremely peaceful set in the countryside and surrounded by mountains. The property reminded us of a swiss chalet with all the beautiful geraniums dangling from its windows. We paid €8.50 extra each to have breakfast which was good but after 4 mornings we would have liked a little variety to the set menu. Being on a month long tour of Northern Spain and Portugal we were delighted to be able to park our old MX5 car under cover on site. Information about places to eat would be helpful since we only discovered on our last day a short cut down to an excellent local restaurant. Walking, turn right out of the front of the property and within 5 minutes you will arrive at the Aulvergue la Vargona Restaurant (near the caravan park) we are just sorry that we only discovered their excellent 3 course lunch with wine on our last day. Posada San Pelayo has a nice swimming pool and plenty of comfy sun loungers where we were able to chill out in the sunshine. We were very comfortable at Posada San Pelayo and enjoyed our stay and recommend to others. We hope to return one day.
Negative: Sadly, you can hear every footstep from the room above which disturbed us when other guests came in late or got up in the night or earlier than us. This is probably due to the traditional wooden floors but some guests were more inconsiderate than others.

Positive: Beautiful scenery and lovely house. The staff were very friendly but there was a language barrier.
Negative: There was an attic room above us and because of the tiled floor we were kept up with footsteps over two nights. Also loud talking. There was a kettle in the room but the only plugs were beside the beds which we felt weren’t very safe. Moreover there was nowhere to walk to a we had to use the car.
