Summary: Potomac View was an amazing home. We loved exploring this circa 1876 home, admiring the vintage touches throughout such as etched glass in the front doors, transoms over all the doors etc. There were sinks in 3 of the 4 bedrooms, which led us to wonder if this had been a boarding house in bygone days. The view of the Potomac just across the street was amazing. We saw many Osprey which nest in trees as well as platforms along the waterside. Some sidewalks, but when they ended, the roads were quiet enough to walk our dogs along the neighborhood streets. One day we rented a golf cart to ride around Colonial Beach, unfortunately in the off season we could only rent one on the weekend days. Lovely home and peaceful stay. Hope to come back again!

Summary: We enjoyed breakfast on the porch and sitting down in the dinning for a birthday dinner. Easy to walk to most things we wanted to do. Antique and vintage pieces make you feel like you're visiting a family home, not a generic rental.

Summary: We did our annual girls trip year this year (ages 40 plus) and it was perfect. The house was perfect for the 5 of us. Well stocked, perfect views and location. The host was amazing. This will be on our return list for sure.

Summary: My husband, son and his family (6 and 1 yr old) and I wanted a weekend getaway to visit our son who is in school at Dahlgren Naval base. We needed a place big enough to accommodate all of us. This was definitely the place. It was clean and comfortable. There were extra supplies if needed and everything you would need to prepare a meal. There were pantry items, drip and cup coffee makers, snacks and even a filtered water pitcher. Numerous inside and outdoor games, baby gates, pack-n-play, high chair and supplies if you brought your dog. I usually get up early, so I was able to watch the sunrise over the Potomac. A wonderful way to start the day. It's a big old house with lots of character with a nice mix of antique furniture. If my son were to be stationed in Dahlgren any longer, we would have been back. We all loved our weekend accommodations.
