Positive: we loved orchard lodge.it was very clean and comfortable., the shower was hot and clean. the kitchen had everything you needed. we had cows hens and sheep grazing the fields around us a very peaceful place. we would recommend to our family and friends.

Negative: It’s advertised as pets welcome but two days before our visit we were told our cat would need to be locked up in an out building when lever we weren’t around so we had to make alternative plans for him last minute. Hosts also could have been more generous with things like loo roll.

Positive: Anne is the perfect host, so friendly and made us feel very welcome. There were fresh eggs, chocolate and banana cake along with some gin and tonic waiting in the fridge. The Lodge is a home away from home, so cosy and comfortable it had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, better than our own! We visited in March when it was cold and raining but it didn't dampen our stay at all. The Lodge is so warm and cosy with lovely views of the country side, it was so peaceful and relaxing. A little Robin likes sit on the door handle and sing to you through the glass, while the chickens happily roam around outside. WiFi was excellent... to look at dates for a return visit! I can't recommend it enough, only negative was having to leave.

Positive: A very comfortable stay with everything thought of for a self catering accommodation including cot and high chair for our 11 month old. Outside area was secure for our dog to roam around which he loved. The views are amazing and the sheep and chickens were relaxing to watch! Helped ourselves to the apples as suggested by Ann who was lovely and who gave us useful information of surrounding areas including recommending the local pub the Butterleigh Inn for food and drink, which having eaten there can highly recommend also. Landlady and staff very friendly. Overall a wonderful relaxing stay. Would definitely stay again.
