Positive: This is a very special place for those who love history, gardens, waterfalls and a very welcoming cat who guides patrons throughout the outdoor spaces. He is a wonderful companion and we will miss him.

Positive: This is an amazing hotel, adapted from what used to be a monastery. You feel the comfort, the history, and the super attentive staff is exceptionally friendly without being intrusive. The bar and restaurant live up to the northern Portugal traditions.

Negative: That they no longer offer "Rojões" daily at the restaurant.

Positive: The historic 12th century monastery is very unique. The Pousada is beautiful, and we enjoyed afternoons by the pool. Guimares is an easy uber drive away to explore the castle and the old centre. Excellent service by all staff.

Positive: It is a former monastery turned into a most exclusive hotel. Set with a historic church high above the city. Wonderfully beautiful. Our room although small was charming The bathroom was modern. The hallways and halls long , and wide , with high ceiling. The dining room was exquisite. The food and the service exceptional. The gardens and outdoor swimming pool added much to the hotel's charm . Stay here and be marveled.
