Positive: Clean and tidy, very well equipped, comfortable furniture, great location for the station. Host sent timely messages about access (easy) and check out etc. Complementary refreshment and the tea/coffee provided were very welcome.

Negative: The WiFi was a bit sluggish and I ended up pairing the smart TV to my mobile data which worked just fine but might not be an option for those without large data plans.

Summary: Ideal for our visit to nearby family.

Positive: Very good location, just 2min walk from the train station. Very good links to London City. A Sainsbury just across the road and a Tesco Express 5min away. Also a basic M&S at a petrol station nearby, approx 10min walk. Very short walk to Highstreet, shops and local library which is very nice (clean, modern, very good facilities and fast internet connection) Apartment is small, more suitable for solo travellers. Allocated parking is easy to access. Very easy access to the apartment, clear instructions, no need to interact with the owner. A park/green area just behind the building. Nice touches e.g. bottles of beer, fizzy drinks, vegan milk for tea, plenty of tea and coffee. Modern and clean kettle and toaster, decent kitchen. Bed was comfortable, plenty of hangers.

Negative: Bathroom area needs renovating, the sink is a mess. No shower gel, only shampoo& conditioner. The towels are non-absorbent with a plasticky feel. The internet connection is extremely poor with pages taking ages to load and frequently crashing. I had to go to local library to be able to work. Extremely noisy if windows are left open, due to apartment being placed on the corner, next to very busy roads. Windows are very old and cracked. Musty smell that sticks to the clothes. Mouldy, smelly washing machine that even after being cleaned twice still didn't wash clothes properly.

Summary: Suitable for short stays/trips to London/nearby- very good value considering good connection offered

Positive: Place was clean, comfortable and in a good location with shops bars and restaurants all within a 2-5 minute walk. Host supplied beers and wines in the fridge and the bed was very comfortable. Towels and bath matts felt premium quality and kitchen had all the basic stuff needed if you want to stay in and cook for yourself.

Negative: The only issue I had was the WiFi, the host did tell me that this was something he intended to improve and I think this needs to be done ASAP, as I really wanted to give this place a higher score but the poor WiFi was disappointing.

Summary: Almost Perfect home away from home
