Positive: We spent one of our best vacations ever in this region and at this place. The region is a paradise for climbers of all levels, thousands of well secured routes out there in Siurana, Margalef or Monsterat. Also for people into hiking, wine or cycling this region is highly recommended and only 90min away from Barcelona by car. Especially during spring or fall the weather conditions are just perfect to get the summer feeling without sweating your heart off. The village itself is one of those small, old, authentic villages out here that might lack close-by infrastructure such as a supermarket, a bike rental, a gas station or a pharmacie. And your stomach should be able to handle the curvy roads around here. But overall La Vilella Baixa gives you a vacation vibe that no hyped place could give you. You can hear birds sing, cats and dogs play, the wind breathe and lots and lots of stars during the night. (A plus for climbers: La Sportiva opened a store nearby). The accommodation itself adds to this authentic vibe: It is oldstyle coziness with a great view, a great terrace including a grill, a chimney in the living-room, a spacious couch, good wifi, and a clean and functional kitchen and the mattresses are good. The hosts are also very upfront and friendly about all information you need. In our opinion, a 10 out of 10 in particular for climbers. We could not have wished for more.
Negative: There isn't really anything we disliked. As Germans, we are used to thicker blankets. So expect relatively thin blankets (just like you get everywhere in Spain). But we didn't freeze at night either. Bottom line: I can't come up with anything we didn't like.

Positive: Very comfortable house in a Beautiful quiet location. Perfect for unwinding which is exactly what we did!
Negative: Is quite remote so be prepared. Days out/using it as a base for further afar visits takes some planning but perfect for hikers or stop offs.

Positive: The house has the perfect location in the historic Vilella Baixa, and the views from the balcony are incredible! Even in December we spent many hours warming up in the sun out there. The house is very cosy and comfortable, and everything we needed was provided.

Positive: Characterful little townhouse with fabulous balcony and great views. A short walk to the town centre which has a couple of bars and a shop. A helpful and responsive host.
Negative: Nothing of any great importance. The kitchen didn't have a washing up bowl and the washing up liquid didn't work very well. Apart from that, all was great.
