We are so excited to offer our beloved cottage located right on the shoreline of beautiful Lake Michigan. This is one of our most favorite places in the whole world- and we can't wait to share it.
Our fully stocked cottage is guaranteed to provide an unforgettable vacation. We have all the modern amenities one could need, while providing total privacy and seclusion. Valkommen Cove includes a state-of-the-art kitchen, luxury bathroom, hotel quality beds, and a spacious yet cozy living area. You are promised a comfortable, worry free, high-end retreat staying with us.
No matter the type of getaway you desire, we are confident our cottage will suit any need. Relax during a cool fall day on the patio surrounded by the unforgettable Michigan fall foliage listening to the waves crash in while enjoying a bonfire or soak up the sun and enjoy a swim or kayak on a hot summer day. Spend your time cozied up to the inviting propane fireplace watching a movie or set out sight-seeing to one of the many incredible destinations Michigan has to offer. You can be sure there is no better place to catch the morning sunrise and the vast night sky full of stars, than here at our little slice of heaven.
Our cottage is stocked with family friendly games, dish network, and yard space ready to be enjoyed by the whole family, or a couple's private getaway.
If you choose to explore, we are in a great central location for a day trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore which is only 1.5 hours away, downtown historic Marquette at 1.5 hours away, Fayette and more! We are minutes away from a large boat harbor, gas, restaurants, campgrounds and a short drive to the beautiful golf courses. Menominee and Escanaba are only 20 minutes away as well providing countless year-round festivities. Have a boat? Take a sail over to Door County for the day as it's only 15 miles across the Bay.

Summary: We were slightly nervous about booking this cottage before it had any reviews, but I'm sure glad we did! It was exactly what we were looking for. We like to be away from the crowds, but close enough to civilization to eat out if we want, so the location was perfect. The cottage is surrounded by trees so it is very private. We enjoyed kayaking, swimming, catching crawfish, bon fires, star gazing, fishing at the cedar river harbor, and watching the wildlife. We even saw a gray fox with little ones on multiple occasions. The lake is shallow for quite a ways which was perfect for our boys. They did a lot of wading and rock skipping. The cottage itself was SUPER nice and cozy. It was equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of games for our rain day and cable tv which our boys really enjoyed. Again, the location of the cabin was exactly what we hoped it would be. Communication was great, and check-in and check-out was super easy.

Summary: My family and I had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. The owners couldn't have been more kind, and were excellent communicators. The house itself was impeccable, and you can not beat the view! Highly recommend!

Summary: This spacious property was very clean with plenty of seating inside as well as out. Only a few miles to a restaurant/gas station. Our pull was family in the area but anyone would enjoy looking over Lake Michigan and hearing the waves. We enjoyed many kinds of birds on the water and in the air. The home has great views from the dining area and a bedroom. It is so beautifully decorated in relaxing colors. It was a wonderful week.

Summary: We had a wonderful week stay. Super clean and very well stocked with anything you may need, they thought of everything. We took day trips to pictured rocks and fayette state park and packed a cooler. Hung out at fox beach, right down the road. Kayaked, swam in lake michigan, bonfires. We took a drive and just hung out comfortably at the house during the one rainy day we had. Awesome cement patio in the front of the house facing the lake with lots of comfy seating to relax. Great kitchen to prepare meals in, plenty of good quality pots, pans, and utensils. They even have tupperwear containers, that was awesome to use for cut up fruits and veggies for our cooler. The shore line is a little rocky, but it turns into a sandy bottom not too far out, with water shoes on this was no big deal for us. Owners are friendly, helpful, and we can tell they genuinely cared to make sure renters have a great stay!

Summary: My wife, adult son and his family including our grandsons nine-years-old and 15 months was on our route -- a circle tour of Michigan's upper peninsula. We selected this location because we wanted to visit Wells State Park and its lovely three-mile-long sand beach. We stayed two nights at the cottage and visited the part both days we were there. The cottage is only a five minute drive away. The owner's communication were excellent. He wanted us to have a great time. The cottage has been completely remodeled and felt new. It is a lovely cottage with a great view of Lake Michigan. We spend a fair amount of time on the deck reading, talking, and looking at the lake. We used the bar-b-cue two nights and had a fire in the fire-pit both nights. We had a lovely stay at this secluded cottage right on Lake Michigan. Steve Sterling
