Thomwells Family Affair is the perfect lake house! You will not find another home at Smith Mountain Lake with everything the lake has to offer while sleeping 18 guests! Awesome amenities include two stand up paddle-boards and a tandem kayak, a walk in entrance to the large beach area, a fire-pit overlooking the lake, large dock with wide water views. The interior has just as much to offer with a spacious layout including three levels, so your family/friends have plenty of space to spread out but this home has wonderful gathering areas, as well!. The main level offers an kitchen breakfast bar with seating, a kitchen table that overlooks the lake plus a huge dining room table. There are two separate living room areas on the main floor with a large wall mounted flat screen TV in the largest of the two. The living room offers access to the huge deck with 2 dining tables that are perfect for outdoor meals with a gas grill or you may choose to hang out on the sectional couch. On the main level, there are 6 bedrooms with 1 king bed, 4 queens and one bunk bed with 3 full bathrooms on main level. The upper level offers a master bedroom with king, plus a trundle day bed (2 Twins) along with a full bathroom and sitting area. The lower level offers a family room with a large flat screen TV, foosball table, full bathroom and bedroom with a king. Walk right out of your family room onto the lower level patio and walkway to the dock, beach or the kayaks & paddleboards. With plenty of parking, a flat walk to the water and the most spectacular views you've ever seen, you and your family will want to return year after year to this wonderful home because it truly has everything that you need for the perfect family vacation!!

Summary: We can’t help the weather for our 3 days, we handled that with God but was a little disappointed in the cleanliness and quality of furniture inside. One of the white kitchen chairs just gave way when my mother sat in it for breakfast. The screws have come out and it put her in the floor The bathroom sink right of the kitchen would not drain at all. The clean up crew should have caught that when they cleaned the sink. Because of heavy wind and rain, water was pouring down the kitchen wall where the back of the fireplace is. Carpet was soaked. Overall though we were satisfied with the space and we did have indoor time for family fun and games!!! The s

Summary: Could not have asked for a better family vacation on Smith Mountain Lake. The Thom Wells house was amazing. Slept everyone comfortably, (all 18 of us ) had the best stocked kitchen, lots of room and dining seating inside and out, a great beachfront on the lake, great dock space, paddle boards, and an awesome location on the lake. Plenty of room for all of us. Great dock space for bringing your own boat and or jet skis. Boat rental is just around the cove. Everything was as the pictures had shown. Property manager was excellent to work with. We rented our linens from we got you covered and they were excellent to work with. Beds were made and ready for us upon our arrival. Very easy process with them as well. I would absolutely recommend this home for a large family. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Summary: We enjoyed our time at smith mountain lake. We had a large group of family staying for our annual vacation. We were pleased to find two full size refrigerators (this was not shown in photos) to help accomodate all of our food. The beach could not have been more perfect for my 2 year old daughter and my elderly grandmother. This was a feature that was hard to find but necessary for our group. The paddle boards were also a big hit with the group. Easy access to the boat ramp and the private dock were perfect for our boat. The two large tables on the deck were utilized frequently for meals or just to enioy a morning coffee. We will definitely look at returning to this property in the future.

Summary: We have enjoyed many years of fun at Smith Mountain Lake. This year was no exception and our stay in this lovely home was great. The youngest in our family is 4 years old and the oldest is 69. Everything about this home made it easy for everyone to have a great time.

Summary: The house and property were wonderful. The house had all amenities for us. The house was very clean and well furnished for our 16 person family trip. The beach was amazing and we all walked out from sand and into the water. The neighboring houses were all quiet by land and by water. The exterior appeared to have missed spring power washing this year but this was a minor glitch in otherwise great vacation house.

Summary: As billed. Great location. Only painful part is having to take your garbage to the dump at regular intervals as there is no place to keep your trash. Also disappointing to have to pay extra for linen and arrange it separately from the rental manager.
