Come relax with friends and family in our 3 bedroom modern rustic cabin! Centrally located in the beautiful Poconos Mountains, your are within minutes of state parks with beaches, lakes, fishing, horse back riding, casinos, Khalahari Water park, Skiing, farms, and many many more attractions to keep your group busy for days!
Tucked away in the desirable Big Bass Lake community you’ll have a sense of community and still have a private place to come back to. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, library, clubhouse with arcade, pickle ball courts, playgrounds for children, lakes, and a delicious new eatery , Passing the Thyme, for take out or quick bite by the pool.
If you plan to stay at the cabin mostly you will have plenty in the cabin to keep you occupied and relaxed! We have three naturally decorated bedrooms with new beds and comfortable bedding for ultimate relaxation. All bedrooms have TV’s. The master bedroom located on the third floor has a full bathroom for ultimate privacy! The other two bedrooms are located on the middle (main) floor with a full bathroom between them.
The shared spaces are open concept with comfortable furniture. The main living room has a large reclining sectional with a warming wood burning fireplace and large screen TV.
Kitchen and Dining area are located right next to this space making it perfect for spending time together. Kitchen is fully equipped, spices, coffee, cooking needs, plates, cups etc.
The loft is located on the third floor outside of the master bedroom. Beautifully lit with natural lighting from all of the windows, this is the perfect spot to sneak away to with a good book! It has a futon that opens to a full size bed and a twin bed for more sleeping options. Also has a TV
Wanting to have some fun? Head down to the basement for some friendly competition with our ping pong table, arcade machine or shuffle board. There’s a nice couch set down there with a large screen TV and wood burning stove for those cold winter nights! Theres a stereo down there for all the music lovers. There’s a half bathroom located in the basement. On the warmer days, there’s access to the backyard from the basement leading out to a nice fire pit surrounded by beautiful nature!
There is a wrap around deck with sliding doors leading to the main floor living area and also main entrance. Enjoy your morning coffee taking in the sunlight and nature. You will find a propane fire table for some nighttime relaxation if you should so chose, and there is a propane grill for your use as well. On the outside we have a ring security camera for safety reasons and spot lights, your privacy is important to us and rest assured the house is all yours for the duration of your stay, except for the passing through deer of course!

A note about the ductless systems: All three bedrooms have their own units that run on the same system, so all must be on AC at the same time or on Heating at the same time but you can adjust the temp as you please. The same goes for the living room units.

Summary: The check in and out was very easy. The house was very clean and has everything needed for our stay.My family enjoyed basement and all games. It was easy to reach host and they always helpful and respond quickly to any of my massage of call. Community super quiet. Love that place and will beck.

Summary: We really enjoy the Lazy Bear Inn! Our family of 9 (6 adults, 3 kids under age of 5) had stuck a great stay. Checkin was easy, the host was very responsive, everything was cleaned and prepared for us nicely. The kids really enjoyed the game room downstairs and the deck was an awesome hang out spot! It was a little too far to walk to the beach/lake area but only about a 5 minute drive. We were pleased to learn that kayak and paddleboard rentals were free if you had an amenity pass, but plan to reserve ahead of time! Overall, we had a great weekend!

Summary: We had a great getaway at Big Bass Lake. Beautiful house by lake was a much needed escape from NYC. The house was amazing and Shana was very helpful with the whole process. We all had a wonderful time

Summary: The house was amazing! Easy and thorough communication with the property owners. Our kids especially loved the basement game room. Large living room complete with fireplace is perfect for a family movie night. Kids loved swimming in the lake as well as the community pool. Will definitely recommend and stay again!

Summary: We had a long weekend with friends, it was 4 adults and 4 kids that ranged from 2 - 16. There was somethibg for everyone. The listing was accurate, communication was great and we had all we need. The lake and pool were great, but we loved the lake considering the rules were more relaxed at the lake, no food or drink in pool area and that made it slightly inconvenient with the kiddos. Overall it was a good stay!

Summary: We had a lovely stay at this cabin in the Poconos! Shana was an excellent host: She was with timely with communication, warm and accommodating, and she had a quick response time if we needed anything during our stay. The purpose of our visit was quick weekend family getaway. There was more than enough space to accommodate the 6 adults and 4 children ranging in age 1-6 comfortably. The cabin was clean and beautifully maintained with thoughtful details throughout. We had everything we needed, including entertainment on rainy days when we couldn't enjoy the rec center (pac-man, table tennis, etc.) The rec center with the pool, splash pad, basketball courts, tennis courts, playground, and café was a huge bonus - the kids had a ton of fun and the food was great (chicken fingers and fries, hotdogs, burgers, etc.). As for suggestions for the future...the staircase to the basement doesn't have a side on it so we were a little worried about our 1-year old falling off the side. It might also be helpful for families with small children to have access to a baby gate that they can put across the stairs that lead from the first floor to upstairs. The clothes dryer also gets very hot very quickly - I would caution guests to not put too many bulky items in the dryer, keep the dryer on the delicate cycle, and make sure they monitor it when using it. Lastly, the AC and the heating was a little challenging to figure out. Overall we loved our stay and would 100% come back!
