Summary: My husband and I and our 2 kids (ages 12 & 9) stayed here while attending our nephew’s college graduation at UNH. This place was awesome! High vaulted ceilings made it feel even larger and it was a great common area to hang out. The kids loved the bunk beds. Owner was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend staying here

Summary: The property is private and scenic with ample parking. The amenities were delightful. The gas fireplace was such a cozy place to hang out with family on a cold night. The host’s library had a great selection of books, and my husband and I read a good portion from two of their books. The host wasn’t as attentive to timely responses to our questions as we would have liked. There was some small items missing that would have made our visit more convenient: blow dryer missing ( host dropped off new one in a couple of hours), no toilet paper holder ( had to reach on top shelf or put on floor to reach), and no soap or body wash (as listed in description of property). Overall, this space was a great gathering place for our family.

Summary: This apartment was exactly what we needed for our week's stay in Dover and was adequate. We also appreciate the fact that they allows dogs, but I couldn't leave a 5 star review for several reasons. We have stayed in alot of VRBO places, so we have a good idea of what it takes to be a 5 star place. First and foremost, cleanliness has to be a priority. I feel like they really dropped the ball here. We found someone's used contact lenses on one of the tables, so we know it had not been even wiped off. When we dropped something on the floor, we got a glimpse under the small sofa-ugh! Lots of dirt and even a small pair of scissors! But worst of all, I am pretty sure that the sheets on the master bed had not been washed! As we lay down to go to bed the first night, we found a reddish smudge (possibly makeup, or heaven forbid, blood) on one of the pillowcases. The next morning we washed the sheets and the mark was noticeably lessened and the sheets smelled better. That situation is unacceptable. Secondly, the air conditioning unit is way too small to adequately cool the apartment. We realize that in New England the weather is generally cool, but the first 2 days and nights we were there, the outside temperature was in the high 80's/low 90's and it was very uncomfortable in the apartment, even with the fans on. A third concern is inadequately stocking the place. We had to buy our own bath soap and hand soap for the bathroom. (The hand soap that was there had been watered down so much that it was practically ineffective.) Another issue we had is the washer and dryer are not in the unit. They are in the basement of the main house and not exactly easy to get to and the basement is very messy and dirty as well. And while we admire the remaking of an old barn into the apartment, it looks unfinished with spackle patches and unfinished door frames and baseboards. This unit could be really great with a little bit of work and attention to detail.

Summary: We came up to NH for a golfing trip and the property was perfect for us. Great location close to downtown Dover and walking distance for all needs. Only a 20 min ride to Portsmouth as well with a lot to do. Property was very clean, private, and comfortable. Host is extremely responsive and quick to get back about any questions you may have. Would definitely stay with these hosts again!
