Step back in time and remember when life was less complicated.
Come relax in this vintage full house on private dead end street. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by hemlocks. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a full size deck. Entertainment includes WiFi and a TV with roku and Netflix. There are many fun activities in the area, including multiple ski resorts and beautiful hiking trails. Minutes from the Berkshires and also close to Vermont and the Capital region.
The space
My dad passed away in March of 2021 after a long stay in the hospital in which he accumulated many bills. This is his house and my childhood home. This old house was once filled with love, family, and laughter and is looking for someone to appreciate it again. Will you help me save Dad’s house?

The house is on a single floor, but there is one step to get into the front door.
The house is not “child proof” there are no locks on the cabinets etc.

The water has some iron in it, while safe to wash and cook with, it might not taste good, so bottled water is provided under the bar.

Summary: My husband and I stayed here 2 nights to attend a wedding. We were traveling with our 2 small dogs. The location was perfect on a dead end road around several well maintained homes but with lots of privacy. The inside was deplorable! The carpet was stained and dirty every surface was sticky. When we turned on the hot water a rotten egg smell came from the faucet. First we thought it was from the broken garbage disposal however the smell came from the hot water in every sink. There was stuff jammed into the cabinets the coffee make didn't work and the filter in the air freshener was filthy. We would have stayed somewhere else but we couldn't find another place close in time for the wedding we were attending. This listing should be removed until this place is completely cleaned and the hot water tank replaced.

Summary: The host was super responsive and lovely, but the rental unit itself was not the most pleasant experience. It was raining when we arrived, and the carpet of front entrance was wet. There are also stains in many places on the carpet, which isn't the most welcoming sight. The entire rental had a mildewy smell, and when we would use the hot water a sulfur smell arose.

Summary: We had two dogs with us, so the condition of the carpwt was actually a relief. I wasn't stressed out worrying about my dogs having an accident. Otherwise, the house was clean and had plenty of towels and supplies. We are planning on renting again.

Summary: I was looking for something that wouldn’t break the bank for a night away with a few of my friends. This house couldn't have been more perfect! It was much bigger than what the pictures showed, the rooms were beautiful, there were plenty of basic necessities. And a huge deck out back where we all watched the stars for a few hours. Definitely one of the cutest places I’ve been. There was a slight smell but she disclosed that in the description of the house, after a while it was barely noticeable. We would definitely book again!

Summary: The house is older so has a musty smell, we brought some candles so that was fine. I suggested to the owner to put curtains in all windows and to get a new coffee pot so she said she would do that. The owner was great to work with and we will visit again!

Summary: No hot water, clogged sink drain and coffee maker didn't work. Makes it not as pleasant when working out of town and needing a hot shower at the end of the day.
