Summary: My husband and I stayed for a few days between Christmas and New Years. Although the weather was not ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation! The rooms were very comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was perfectly equipped for cooking the delicious local produce, and the bathroom was luxurious. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and we loved learning about the farm. We would look forward to staying here again or visiting the other BNB location at Smith Mountain. Thanks to the hosts for allowing us to stay with you!!

Summary: We stayed here for my daughter's bachlorette weekend with her two friends and we had a really nice time!! Katherine even came down so we could pet the horses! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our cozy, mostly stay in, weekend. Thank you!!

Summary: My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Happy Rooster. The home and property were clean and nicely kept & we enjoyed seeing the chickens in the morning. We were looking forward to seeing the horses and sheep but other then that we loved every part of our visit.

Summary: Our family came across the Happy Rooster when looking for a place to stay when booking a last minute trip to come to my hometown. Being from Franklin County, I know the area well and can tell you the Happy Rooster is in a very ideal location to get to Rocky Mount, Smith Mountain Lake, or even Ferrum. Attention to detail sets this place a part, Kathryn & Tommy knew we were getting in late and made sure there were lights on in the house for when we arrived. Additionally, the home is well decorated, very very clean, and provides everything you need for your stay. ALRIGHT, the truth....the Happy Rooster comes with added bonuses!! The animals on the farm! We didn't book the Happy Rooster because of this (it was more about the location) BUT we are SO GLAD we did. Our teenage girls got off their phones and went outside to pet the bunnies, the horses, and speak to the Happy Rooster himself. My only wish is that we could have spent more time on the farm. Thank you Happy Rooster for making this family of 4 very HAPPY indeed!

Summary: My two friends and I came for a long weekend, and it was perfect. The hosts were so helpful and easy to communicate with and were very thoughtful about our trip. The house was beautiful with lots of new appliances and so clean. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a get away!
