BACK ON VRBO, Private 1890's Historic farmhouse, professionally designed and fully restored to its former beauty! Originally, The APELT ARMADILLO FARM. House is located on approximately 10 acres and is fully fenced and gated. There are 3 bedrooms - 2 with king size beds and tv in room, 2 bathrooms, 2 separate family rooms with satellite tv, large kitchen with dining room and wood burning fireplace. Seating at dining table for 6 to 10 people with additional seating for 4 at island. The front parlor/sitting room is a nice place to curl up and read a book or watch a football game upstairs in the game room. Backyard features a large sitting area and with gas fireplace and dining area. Built-in hot tub for 6 people and large deck area with lounge chairs. Wonderful front porch with rocking chairs, and upstairs balcony has bed swing and bistro table sitting area. Large circular driveway with lots of room for parking.

Summary: We had a lovely stay at the 1890s farmhouse in Comfort, TX for our girls' weekend getaway! The house is beautifully decorated- we "oohed" and "aahed" through every room. We enjoyed the peacefulness and the hot tub. We had fun exploring Comfort- thrifting, antiquing and visiting a winery. Thank you to Lisa for making our stay so wonderful!

Summary: We had our party of 6 (2 adults plus kids ages 10-18) stay here while we visited family all around between Christmas and New Years. The renovations on this property are simply beautiful, the beds so comfortable, and every amenity possible available to us you could think of! The chandeliers, furniture, and decor are impeccably done and every day we marveled at something new we discovered just being there. The farmhouse kitchen was so much fun to be in with a view of the backyard gardens with the horses and goats just beyond the backyard area (they are fenced in their own giant plot of land). The kids especially had a great time petting the animals, and the red barn was a gorgeous backdrop for several photos. Kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. The owner, Lisa, was extremely responsive the only time we needed to contact her (we had a small internet issue that was immediately resolved) and she also checked in periodically with me just to make sure there was not anything else we needed. Our group was so enamored with this home none of us wanted to leave! Location was perfect as well - just about 5 minutes from downtown Comfort and the local market and about 20 min to Kerrville. The only possible drawback was the road noise at night, but the owners recognize this and provided floor fans to offset the noise so everyone slept soundly and comfortably. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND, and we hope to come back soon!

Summary: We so enjoyed our stay for my moms 60th birthday! The house was stocked with all the essentials needed for traveling and staying in a home (cooking items, bathroom items etc). The home owner called and text me to check on me during my stay. Best experience I've had with a VRBO rental. If I'm ever in the area again, I will for sure stay in a property with these owners. Oh and impeccable decorations!

Summary: The owners were very responsive to any needs or questions we had. Recently remodled 100 plus year old home. The home is beautifully decorated and sits on acreage. Kitchen is well equipped. Beds are VERY comfortable. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
