Summary: This sprawling, charismatic Duxbury house is the perfect house for a stay near the beach. It has so much charm and character that we were delighted around every corner. The kitchen was lovely and well appointed. The linens and pillows were very comfortable. The host was accommodating and very quick to respond.

Summary: We had a great time at this old farmhouse property with easy access to PowderPoint bridge and the beach. My family of five stayed here for a week and enjoyed the location, house and large backyard.

Summary: Our family loved this old house! The original home was built in the 1880’s and we loved all of the hidden charm…. Multiple rooms to hang out in and a gorgeous yard to run! In true “New Englander” fashion, the home’s unique layout was fun to explore. And it’s just 5 minutes from the beach. We will definitely stay here again if he have the chance. Thanks Nathan!

Summary: This house is located right next to a point of land that has beautiful views, beautiful houses and gardens....just great for morning walks. The house itself is extensive and has every space you need whether you need to do a little work in the office, cook in the kitchen, or hang out in the living room with couches for 9, or get away to the many bedrooms. Just a great place, particularly if you want to be in Duxbury with nice ocean views nearby.

Summary: We enjoyed Nathan’s property but echo previous reviews that it could use a good deep clean. The light fixtures above the island were covered in dust and there was remnants of garbage underneath the trash can. Nathan was very responsive when we ran out of dish soap and toilet paper but it was discouraging that this would even be an issue for a property at this price level. There was also only 1 trash bag for the weekend so we used stop and shop bags instead. The house itself is great and slept 8 adults comfortably. It could fit even more if you double up. The outdoor shower is a great addition but bring all of your own toiletries. No soap or shampoo provided. The backyard is excellent for yard games. Plenty of space for whiffle ball, corn hole, etc... There’s a small grill that works well. ~25-30 min walk to a beautiful beach. Well worth the walk. The property has a ton of charm and just needs some TLC to go from a 3 to a 5.

Summary: There were some positives and negatives to our visit at this property- Positives: Beautiful neighborhood of very fancy homes/mansions on or near the water. Large backyard Updated kitchen Dog-friendly - the best and most important positive for us Negatives It is a stretch to say this is a 20min walk to the beach. Even if you park on “this side” of the bridge it is a 10-15 min walk, so I’d say it’s more like 30 min walk to the beach. There is a huge security deposit that would have stopped me from renting if I’d had another feasible option in the area. (A positive was that this was refunded promptly) The house was not clean to our standards- the owner remedied the obvious things but it always then makes me question everything else when you see obvious dirt overlooked. The sheets had holes and lots of pilling. The towels were notably old. There is a picture of a piano but the keys stick and it is not able to be played. There were no courtesy toiletries which is something I’ve always found at other places we have stayed. Overall, it fit our needs for the space and number of people including our dog. The kids had fun running around the yard and my dad enjoyed the famous Duxbury oysters while the vegan members found something in relatively nearby Plymouth. We enjoyed walking or running around the neighborhood, but there were some disappointments. A good cleaning service and new sheets and towels would do a lot.

Summary: The house was lovely and clean. Charming and old-fashioned. Best perk by far was the outside shower, wonderfully refreshing after a day at the beach. Nathan was responsive to every need and our dog loved the expansive yard. We were a 20-minute walk from the beach and we walked the Powder Point bridge daily. A special place and a wonderful two weeks!
