About this space
Welcome to Northwest Cove! This stunning property is situated on 14 acres of pristine oceanfront land, with gorgeous water views from all angles in absolute privacy. Watch colourful fishing boats go by year round, or use the provided binoculars to spot the Peggy's Cove lighthouse! This home has been carefully created with your next Nova Scotia getaway in mind. Enjoy a massive hot tub, outdoor sauna and fire pit, situated along a gravel walkway, with sweeping ocean sights, smells, and sounds!
The space
The house is situation on a large, private lot. Enter through the gate and continue down a long, winding gravel driveway until you spot the sprawling ocean view!
You will first enter the home in to a small foyer with a large closet for coats and shoes. Continue in to the home and the kitchen is immediately to your left. The main level is open concept including the kitchen, a dining room with space for 8, and a living room. The living room seats 5, with a gorgeous propane fireplace and floor to ceiling windows showcasing the million dollar ocean view!
Also on the main level are two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with a queen. There is a full bathroom with a standup shower.
Head up the stairs to the loft bedroom. This bedroom is open to the lower level to take advantage of the sprawling view, features a king bed, and a private ensuite with a standup shower.
Downstairs is a large rec room with comfortable seating, a flatscreen TV with streaming services, and a pool table!
There is a balcony off the main level, and access to the yard through the basement.
Outdoors you will enjoy a large hot tub, fire pit with seating for 8, and an outdoor cedar sauna!

Summary: Our family had a wonderful vacation and the Ocean front home was an absolutely beautiful place to stay! Everything in the description was accurate - the only disappointment was that the gas fireplaces didn't work and the fire-pit was left a mess. The ocean view from both inside and outside are spectacular and the sounds of the water were glorious! Communication with the owners could be better but other than that.... we would highly recommend this ocean front home for a vacation retreat.

Summary: The place is gorgeous but is beaten up. There was water pouring in through the top of the fireplace which is a huge hazard. Went through 8+ towels trying to keep it dry. The dishes in the cupboard were dirty.. we had to wash each one before use. We ran out of hot water after 4 or 5 showers. Did not have hot water for 2 hours. The hot tub was not cleaned. It had yellow liquid all through it which looked like puke or orange juice. The closet doors were broken off and placed in the closets on some rooms. There were no functioning darts for the dart board. (All broken) The sink was broken when we showed up, plumbers came ane "fixed" it. It was clogged again the next day and we could not use it for the majority of our stay. The smoke alarm went off and blared a siren outdoors that was ear piercing, when i called the emergency contant number they had no solutions for me. It stopped 30 minutes later. Overall the place has potential but just is not cared for. Sauna was great.

Summary: We had a great stay here. Except for: The hot tub was cool when we arrived - it did not heat to temperature until late on our second of two nights. There is no way to secure the lid down as all the clips had broken. It was very windy and wet! The oven did not reach temperature so dinner was very late. The space is gorgeous, perfect for three couples. (3 Bathrooms) The kitchen is well appointed. Great Coffee! Beds were luxurious and bathrobes and towels plentiful! Lots of space for games, and lounging. Highly recommend.

Summary: The place is great! Clean, spacious, has both a jacuzzi and a sauna, which is great for a relaxed weekend away from home. Two drawbacks though are - (1) the very strict rules imposed by property management (and while some of them make sense, some others not so much considering how secluded the house is); (2) There was absolutely 0 responsiveness from property managers to our questions. First question was asked a few day before the trip trying to better understand the place's exact address (so we know where to go), the other question was sent on Sat (our 2nd nigh at the house) when we suddenly ran out of propane for the grill and no spares were anywhere to be found around the house. A strong detractor.
