About our selves
We are a family of four. My name is Premadasa Marasinha. My wife is Dammika. We have two children. They are still studying.
I am a teacher at a school for children with mental and physical disabilities. My wife is also a teacher and she work with the teenagers and adult students who have got learning difficulties.
We decided to start this guest house for two reasons. To be honest, the first main reason is to make some decent income . The other reason is, our family likes visitors. We meet guests very often and sometimes we invite them to visit our home. We like to chat with them and share our knowledge, ideas and friendship. It has become easy as all four of us can speak English. Though we are not able offer them much facilities as we are not rich people,they always tell us, that they have enjoyed their stay here and promise to visit us again.
Well, we live in a very calm, beautiful, peaceful and small village called AKMEEMANA. Everywhere it's green. Our house is situated in a nice village near to Galll,
It is a upstairs room with a balcony and,attached bathroom. That's mean it is your own room with full privacy. it is a privilege.It is really calm and no any disturbance even from us :)). Also,you can listen to the music of nature in the evenings. also there is a nice garden with lot of fruit trees.
Also, Our house is located about 9 km from the main city Galle. The famous tourist beach Unawatuna is about 8 km off. If you are not very interested in staying at the beach, our place is the ideal alternative. I am sure you would love to stay at our place. We are a family with very friendly, open minded and easy going members. Also you can get an idea of how a typical Sri Lankan lower middle sized class family lives. We don't own much, but we are a happy and united family.
My wife is a good cook. She cooks typical and authentic Sri Lankan food like rice and curries, hoppers, Rottis, string hoppers and pittu. She is also very good at cooking fish in her own way. As our guests you will get to know the genuine Sri Lankan cuisine.
Moreover we have a nice fruit garden around our house. There are many kinds of fruit trees,spices and herbals. To name just a few: bananas, papayas, king coconuts,peppers,ginger there are mangoes, guavas, rambutans star fruits, pineapples and a lot more. So we can offer you fresh fruits just picked from the garden in the whole year.
If you like to be in the beaches you could also go to Unawatuna within a 20 mins ..
The house is situated close to a main road so the transportation is not a problem at all.The Colombo Galle super highway is situated very close to our lace and only about 10 mins drive from here. Also, there is a tuk tuk park close-by.
If you want to check your emails, you can use our WIFI enabled internet facilities for free.
So, we are looking forward to see you . I am sure you would love to be here as we offer you the nicest and the most cheapest place in down south in Sri Lanka.
