The Space:
Take a quick trip over the Bourne Bridge and get ready to enjoy an island getaway. It doesn’t get much more quintessential Cape Cod than Scraggy Neck Island, come enjoy the Island Getaway.
Pull down the roundabout driveway, and push open the rich blue front door into this over 2,500 square foot home. The home enters into the living room, where two couches provide plenty of space to relax and chat on your vacation. Stepping through the living room, you'll enter the home's dining room, with views of the water through the large windows on the rear wall. To the left of the dining room is the home's kitchen, where the views of the waters continue while you cook up a vacation feast. On the other side of the dining room is the home's TV room, with ample seating, a small eating area, and access to the home's back porch through the sliding glass doors.
Out on the back porch, you'll find outdoor lounging and dining options, as well as a fenced-in backyard, perfect for your furry friend to come along on your vacation. Access to an association Beach can be found off of Seal Lane, a quick walk from this beautiful vacation spot.
Back inside, the first of the home's five bedrooms is on the first floor, complete with a queen size bed and seating area. The home's first full bathroom can be found on the first floor as well. Head upstairs, where the remaining bedrooms are located. Two bedrooms are situated on the left side of the home, one with a queen bed, and the other with a full size bed. The fourth bedroom is a queen bed and seating area, as well as built-in cabinets. The primary bedroom can be found after passing through an additional seating area, entered through the sliding glass doors. The vaulted ceilings make you feel small before jumping into a king size bed for a long night's sleep, before waking up to the gorgeous water views.
Other amenities include a washer and dryer, propane grill, a mini-split A/C system and an outdoor shower. Take in the sea breeze from the water just past your yard, all you have to do this vacation is enjoy the Island Hideaway.

Summary: Such a wonderful place!! The house was sparkling clean when we arrived. Communication leading up to, and during, our vacation was excellent. The house is a perfect Cape Cod vacation home, it has that classic Cape feel but with modern perks like A/C, a dishwasher, etc. The location was ideal. A quick walk to the beach, a short bike ride to tennis courts and a playground, and a view of the beach from the house!! My family and I had a wonderful week and would highly recommend the house!!

Summary: The house has plenty of rooms and a good lay-out. House has not been updated much but the trade-off is a nice deck, bbq, fenced in backyard, outdoor shower, and short 5-minute walk to private beach that was perfect for a 3.5 and 1.5-yr old. We were even able to bring our dog which was great.

Summary: Great spot. Excellent beach 5 mins away for kids swimming. Kayaking for kids on Causeway. No need to get in car. Biking and walking round the island safe. House had all we needed.

Summary: Can't say enough about this house and our experience! The location in a quiet community with a short walk to the private beach was perfect for a relaxing & fun weekend. The house itself has a classic Cape Cod vibe with more space than others we've rented which is exactly what we needed for our group of four adults with four kids aged 2-5. There was more than enough space for sleeping and multiple living areas allowed for plenty of indoor play space (key for one of the rainy days.) We especially loved the fenced in & level backyard for lawn games and letting the kids run free. The grill was so nice that my husband was inspired to cook on it at least once a day, ha! Watching huge birds fly overhead with fish in their talons while we sat on the deck is something I'll always remember. All of the information we needed was well communicated upfront so we didn't have any reason to contact Del Mar during the entirety of our stay, which I consider a very good thing. Thank you for hosting a memorable weekend!
