Positive: Nice little place to stay. It was close to where we needed to be and no one bothered us.
Negative: A few things needed to be taken care of, but they were 2 hours away. Very nice, but if something was really wrong, it wouldn't have been fixed for hours in the middle of my weekend vacation. We were asked to stay until they could get there, which was 2 hours away. We told them as soon as we got there and managed without them having to come. Parking is a little weird. Bathroom is in a weird spot and looks like work still needs to be done.

Positive: I liked the location and size of the unit.
Negative: I did not like how the doorknob for the only entrance into the unit is just for aesthetics and does not work at all. It made closing the door very difficult. I also don't think the bedding was properly cleaned because my skin completely broke out in pimples like I was in high school again.
Summary: The location was nice, but the unit was just a little weird.

Positive: The location was fantastic, and close to downtown area with a lot to see. We had an easy walk to some local restaurants in the area. Josh, the host, was super friendly and hospitable. You could hear movement in the main house, but they were really respectful of the time so no interrupted sleep or anything like that. It was a nice cozy place to stay for a great value!
Negative: None of this was a deal breaker, but there are a few things that weren't necessarily clear in the listing. The apartment is attached to another house, where the host lives, so you don't necessarily get a view of the front street, but you do have a private entrance with a nice little patio area as well. The barn doors, although a really nice feature, are the only door for the bathroom, and leave a bit of a gap on both sides so when you are using the bathroom or showering, there isn't a lot of privacy. It isn't a big deal, however since the bathroom opens to the kitchen area, planning bathroom breaks and showers in between meals is recommended. Finally, there is no thermostat in the apartment, so you have to contact the host if you want the temperature changed. Not a big deal, unless you get hot or cold in the middle of the night.
