Summary: This property is well situated in Elmore, giving plenty of access to various mountain resorts and towns. We had a blast as a ski group. Cooking in the kitchen was easy with no issues. Make sure to bring a 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle as the conditions of the roads to the house are typical Vermont roads not well suited for two wheel drive.

Summary: This house was about 25 min from stowe away from the hustle and bustle of town. Cozy and quiet. We had a large group and had a fun time when we weren't on the mountain.

Summary: The house is close to a lot of attractions. Mt Mansfield with the gondola and toll road 25 min away, Smugglers Notch 30 min away, beach at lake Elmore park 12 min away, several waterfalls within 20 min drive, restaurants, minigolf, and of course hiking. We saw deer, foxes and a black bear in the field in front of the house. The house itself is big with plenty of room. We were impressed with how clean the house was when we arrived. We were not expecting it to be spotless given that it accepts dogs, but it exceeded our expectations. There was no smell as mentioned in a previous review. When we first entered the house there was a bit of the smell you’d expect in a wood house in hot weather, and it went away after a few hours with windows open. The weather was hot (few days in the 80s) and the fans in the living room, kitchen and master bedroom helped to make it tolerable. There is floor fan as well, and a window AC unit that we didn’t need to use. There is a drip coffee maker, blender and toaster, as well as dishes, pots, pans and utensils. There is a grill on the porch but it was quite dirty and we didn’t use it. One of the planks on the deck was loose and sticking up, so we made sure to avoid it but that could be a hazard. There is an enclosed porch that was quite dusty, so we didn’t use it much as we didn’t want to clean it, and it was much nicer to be out on the open porch. We did use the ping pong table that is in an detached garage. There was a lot of dust there too, and there was a damp smell, but it was tolerable with the garage door open. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. People who live down the street were friendly, the house is in a perfect location, close to everything, and is very comfortable. (3showers!!). There are some minor cosmetic issues, but that’s to be expected.

Summary: When we were looking for a place in this area, the rentals were very expensive near the mountain. This house is about 25 minutes to the mountain and it was perfect for our group. Cozy, clean and comfortable. The property is really pretty as well.
