If you want a quiet, clean, private and smoke free place, you found it. You will not need to have contact with anyone while you are here. The unit has a keypad entry. I personally clean the studio extensively. This is a great place to escape and enjoy the Nevada outdoors or just get away to a quiet, cozy place. If you have any questions, please ask!
Located in south Carson where homes are on acre lots, this approximately 500 square foot studio. There’s a nice view of the mountains from your 100 square foot deck. It may not be appropriate for small children because there is no barrier at the top of the steep stair case.
Laundry facility is available for guests staying for a week or longer.
THE NO SMOKING POLICY IS STRICKLY ENFORCED! The host is extremely sensitive to smoke, and even though you don’t smoke while here, luggage and clothing of smokers leave a lingering odor in the studio. If you’re a smoker please find other accommodations. There is no smoking anywhere on the property. If you are caught smoking during your stay, you will be asked to leave. By booking with us you are agreeing to pay $200.00 in extra charges if you leave a smoke odor in the room.
We have no objection to vaping outside. There is a doorbell cam at the front door to the unit, and perimeter cameras around the house in the front part of the property.

Summary: Bottom Line: A delightful, cozy, comfortable apartment for enjoying Reno, Lake Tahoe, Carson City, Virginia City and surrounds. Definitely recommend and would stay here again. What to love: (1) Mo herself – a gracious hostess who communicates well. (2) Excellent location near the major highway (I-580), a great grocery store (Raley’s) and Carson Street (Route 395), the main commercial corridor. (3) Comfort -- Mo (Maureen) has created a welcoming apartment (one of two) in a barn on her property, beautifully decorated, appointed and furnished with both practical items (shampoo, extra towels, super comfy bed, good shower, ample bathroom sink surround, coffee and travel cups, kitchen knives that cut) and multiple little flourishes to enhance one’s stay (decorative lighting, local travel literature, an electric fireplace, snacks, a furnished balcony). It’s a wonderful oasis to which to return each night and looks exactly like, if not better than, the posted pictures. (4) Proximity to everything – There’s plenty to see in Carson City, but Reno, South Lake Tahoe and Virginia City are all less than 30-40 minutes away (season-dependent probably; we visited in October). (5) Parking next to your entry door. (6) Exceptionally clean & well maintained. (7) Quiet w/ a beautiful mountain view. What you might not love: Can't think of anything, unless you must have access to a washer/dryer or a kitchen table. My husband & I had breakfast daily on the coffee table; no problem.

Summary: Extremely relaxing, very well appointed room with a cozy comfortable king size bed. We would highly recommend this studio to anyone who wants a quiet comfortable stay in Carson City. Centrally located to Virginia City and South Lake Tahoe. Maureen and Bryce have outdone themselves.

Summary: I was evacuated because of a local fire and 7 months pregnant but still had to work locally, as I’m a healthcare worker. Maureen was more than accommodating to work with me and my schedule. She brought fresh fruits and veggies from the garden, allowed me to do laundry, and the studio was beyond relaxing. The atmosphere was perfect!!!! I highly recommend this place.

Summary: This cabin is exactly how pictured but better!! Everything is comfortable and VERY clean!! Maureen is so kind and thoughtful! The cabin had everything I needed. WiFi, kitchenette, privacy. The deck with the lights and mason jars are just a few of the little touches that make this place feel like a vacation! If you need a place to stay, or a local getaway this is the place you want to be!!

Summary: This place was spotless! It was also VERY nicely furnished and everything you could possibly need was there. This studio was spacious [for a couple] and very private. The owner, Maureen, was very welcoming and we enjoyed talking with her while she was gardening outside. The Cozy Barn [and it was cozy] was located about 10 minutes from downtown Carson City and some very nice restaurants. There were NO downsides to this place. When we go back to Carson City, we will ask to stay here again.

Summary: We had a great stay at this beautiful studio loft. The decorations were very nice, it was very warm and inviting, and the host had everything you could possibly need. We would definitely look to return the next time we travel to the Reno/Carson/Tahoe area.
