Positive: The hotel is literally 5 min away walking distance from the train station, if know where to go. Turn right when you leave the station and cross the big road towards the hotel. From the metro station take exit 5 and you will find yourself near the hotel entrance. Wifi works fine, breakfast offers a lot of choice, incl. western food
Negative: The neighbourhood is not nice. Roads are very busy and difficult to cross, heavy traffic, no shops, no nice places to eat, no direct metro line to get to the city center. My room was very small and in the end of the floor. There were strange noises in the bathroom during night as if somebody was flashing again and again. Breakfast was very busy with big tourist groups. The staff was not very friendly. They booked money as deposit and haven't returned them in more than 2 weeks
Summary: Do not recommend. Poor value for high price

Positive: Location is central, rooms spacious and housekeeping lady fantastic although we couldn’t communicate. Felicia at the desk was personable and supportive.
Negative: It’s all in the detail: Everyone is friendly & supportive, but I miss management who oversees and corrects the staff; morning hair at breakfast, yawning with open mouth at service, talking loudly in Chinese when cleaning tables, factory threads still in vents of coats, torn carpets. Etc. It doesn’t stop me from visiting, but the hotel would benefit from a ‘Pullman eye’

Positive: It's a beautiful property right in the heart of Shanghai, and the metro station is right below the hotel which makes it super convinient to travel and explore the city. The staff is super friendly even when it is fully booked and super crowded they take time to take great care of your needs.
Negative: It would be nice if I could adjust the temperature of the air conditioner in my room 🙂 It's not a deal breaker though.
