Summary: We loved staying at this property over Mardi Gras break (March 2025). I personally think the condo is better than pictured. It’s so convenient for skiing. The rentals are a quick walk across the square, and you’re steps away from the main ski lift. You also have access to the Durango Mountain Club with a restaurant, pool, hot tub, and ski lockers. Jason was a great host and very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Summary: This beautiful condo is in a fantastic location. It made skiing with our kids so much easier! There was plenty of room for all of us, the beds were comfortable and the condo was lovely. We enjoyed our stay!

Summary: My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Purgatory Lodge. It was a perfect size for our group of 9. It was clean. The check in process was easy. The skiing was excellent, and the Purgatory Lodge was steps away from the main lift. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: Overall the condo was very clean and nice, exceeding our expectations. Staying at the Purgatory Lodge is extremely convenient for skiing and relaxing afterwards. We stayed with two adult families with kids and grandparents and had plenty of separation with 3.5 bathrooms and plenty of seating and room in the kitchen and living room. We were a little hopeful in booking as we had never stayed here before and were pleasantly surprised as it was a great space and we will definitely stay again. The Lodge benefits of the hot tub, fitness center and restaurant/bar on site were used daily by our party and very convenient all in the same building. Skiing with kids can be a hassle but the lockers and location made it easy. Owner communication was great and check in/out with the lodge is great.

Summary: Location was great. Upon arrival we knocked on the door to see if cleaning was done. No answer. Asked owner if we could check in early. No response. The unit was ready but I guess he didn’t want any early checkins. When we did get checked in we found a pillow case on a bunk bed with bloody snot. The tub shower didn’t work correctly and I was told “ok I’ll tell maintenance but it’s hard to get people up there”. There were a handful of other maintenance issues that I fixed myself and didn’t say wanting (door trim coming off, towel rack unstable, etc. There was a bifold door that was off the bottom hinge so it didn’t work. I tried to fix it but couldn’t so I pulled it off and set it inside the closet so my daughter wouldn’t damage it or have it fall on her. After we checked out the owner messaged me upset that I didn’t tell him about it. Bottom line, the place is located great but the unit needs updates and better maintained and the owner Jason is not easy to deal with. I’ve been staying in this building for 10-15 years and this was the only bad experience I’ve had with an owner.
