Summary: Overall we enjoyed our stay on this houseboat. The property manager was friendly and easy to reach when needed. The houseboat's location was very convenient for walking to stores and sites of interest. However, it was not convenient for arriving from the airport or departing for the airport by taxi.Taxi drivers found it difficult to find the entrance point along the shore and actual access required a phone call to the property manager in order to lower a traffic barrier. There were a several things that could be done in order to make the stay better: 1) In the front of the boat guests would have more privacy if additional shades or curtains were put at the bare windows-portholes in the 2 bedrooms, bathroom, toilet room, and kitchen and a shade at the bare skylight in the living area. 2) the two bedrooms at the front of the boat need a rail to hang one's clothing, and 3) As other reviewers have said, this houseboat with its very steep and narrow staircases is not for those who have mobility or balance issues and who travel with large checked luggage.

Summary: The boat is in a great location and offers a good amount of space. It is a boat so has unique features in terms of difficult access (large steps and steep steps and aa boat smell). But any negatives are overcome by the great view from the deck where you can sit with a glass of wine and watch the Paris go by.

Summary: Perfect location! Super spacious! Fantastic remodel! Soooo comfortable! Impeccably clean! Unmatched views of Eiffel Tower, Musée D’Orsay, Assemblée Nationale, etc. Loved every minute, would definitely book again! One word of warning to families with small children and other travelers with hip, knee or mobility issues. This beautifully remodeled working barge was not originally built for leisure travelers, so access and entry points, including the 4+foot drop from the banks of the Seine to the deck and extremely steep and narrow interior and exterior stairs/ladders could prove problematic for some guests.

Summary: Even though the weather was bad we all had a great time on the boat. It is so central and easy to get about that we saw far more of Paris than we ever expected to in just a few days. The boat was perfect for two couples and we would all love to get back there in the future.

Summary: This was an amazing last minute find as the VRBO we'd booked in advance cancelled on us the day before our arrival. The location on the river Seine can't be beat. From CDG airport we took a train and metro to the Tuileries garden and then took a short walk through the garden to the boathouse. You are in the heart of everything with amazing views! We enjoyed incredible sunrises while having our morning cup of coffee on the deck and beautiful sunsets sipping wine and looking at the Eiffel Tower and all the lights of the city. We walked to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame, Rodin museum, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triumph and the Les Invalides museum. The only site we had to take the metro to was Versailles Palace. We've stayed the night on large sailboats before, so had no issues with "boat living". Our daughter was a little concerned, but ended up having no problems with the occasional motion as boat passed by on the Seine. All river traffic was over by midnight. I wouldn't recommend it for people with mobility issues. There are some tight spaces walking to the entry door and up and down the narrow steep stairs to the master bedroom. We are in our 50's and in good health and no issues whatsoever. Finally, we enjoyed being able to use the washer/dryer machine to do laundry. We had a minor issue with it, but the communication and support with the owner was fabulous. She was even ready to pay extra for a repair person to come out on a Sunday to fix the problem if necessary. Fortunately, we were able to get it resolved, but really appreciated her timely support. We would definitely stay here again!
