This newly renovated upstairs apartment is in the heart of Big Valley in Belleville. It is part of a building built in the 1800s.
It is right next to a gas station and convenience store. We are approx 35 min from Penn State. The local livestock and flea market is 1/2 mile (on Wednesdays). There is also a cute gift shop in the lower part of the building.
We provide all linens, coffee, tea, and snacks.

Summary: Apartment is part of an older building which is being refurbished. Upon arrival directions on which staircase to use was inaccurate. Signs where posted the following day. Would help if a sign was also posted at the correct door as there are two doors on the second level. Cell service in Belleville is spotty which caused some issues with trying to contact the owner. Door from my apartment to next apartment was not lockable from my side, only from the other side. Was unable to use the wifi. Floors not suitable for elderly or walking impaired as they tilted just like old floors do. A shelf by the sink to hold toiletries would be a plus. Room darkening shades in the bedroom so the all night lights at the gas station can be blocked out would be a plus. Other than above the apartment was nicely furnished and clean.

Summary: Apartment is nicely furnished. It is 27 stairs up to the apartment, so if you have issues with stairs, or a lot of items to move, keep that in mind. We handled it, but it could be challenging if you aren't aware. All of the blinds are sheer so the lights from the convenience store, next door, are bright and shine through the blinds. Just be aware if you need it dark to sleep. The apartment is very well equipt. Ivy is a lovely person and has competitive prices for the area. We would stay there again. It is a nice stay and Belleville is lovely. There is a beautiful second story deck. It was nice watching the Amish horse and buggies trot by. This is a nice place to stay if you need to go to Lewistown or State College. We went to the Belleville sale day that is every Wednesday and it was a very short drive away. Ivy also has a beautiful gift shop in this building below the apartment.

Summary: Being from the area, I already had an idea of the great location and amenities Belleville and the surrounding area had to offer. The apartment was exactly as described exceptionally clean, quaint, and well maintained. It also afforded the peace and tranquility we were hoping for. I promise you will not miss a TV. We enjoyed gathering fresh fruits and vegetables around town to bring home and prepare. Not to be outdone by the many delicious restaurants nearby serving home cooked meals. We were delighted to meet our host, who is actually quite an interesting woman of many talents. Rest assured you will not regret a stay here be it overnight or extended. We will definitely book here again next year !

Summary: This place is right in the middle of town. Plenty of parking. It’s a second floor apartment with a big deck to enter from. The deck is shared with another apartment. The neighbors are great. Debbra turns the property over between guests and is the nicest, most helpful person. My trip was a great success due in no small part her and her little girl that loves to throw kisses. Ivy the property owner was equally as helpfull and patient with me. This was my first time using VRBO. I am an inn keeper in Michigan. And I don’t get away often. I’m so glad my first experience was so positive. I like to cook and a VRBO property really let me avoid having to eat out all the time. Depending on what you’re cooking, the kitchen is a bit sparse, but it has most essentials. There’s no TV, but the WiFi works great. YouTube and Netflix never let me down. My friend need to Zoom some meetings and had no complaints. As for the layout. With the bathroom opening off the kitchen, a separate bedroom, and an air mattress from the closet I setup in the front room, me and my friend who were traveling together, but not together were very comfortable. All in all. This was a most enjoyable get away and I can't wait to do it again.
