Summary: We broke into smiles as soon as we walked into the home because of its clean contemporary lines, its playful bright artwork, and its huge open windows which overlooked the beautiful forested property and let in lots and lots of light. Everything we needed was there, including a terrific selection of books. We each read one during our visit. We didn’t book bring our kids, but there was a great selection of kid’s books and activities also. We even enjoyed some of those ourselves. We loved how the property felt like it was out in nature but it was close to town. Our hostess Anna was a delight, and so helpful. We are glad to have spent time here and would be happy to come back again.

Summary: After a crazy year, we were looking for peace, quiet and time in nature, and this delightful cottage gave us exactly that. Anna is a thoughtful, considerate host. The kitchen is well organized and well equipped (the knives are sharp and you can use the grill!). And in contrast to many other properties, there's plenty of room to put your things away. The patios, big windows and abundant natural light keep you close to the beautiful farm country around the cottage, and the location is convenient for any number of walks, day trips and local attractions. This was the perfect getaway for us, and we'll definitely be back. THANK YOU, ANNA!

Summary: Every once in a while, we find a property that stands out... and we definitely found one this time. The house was lovely. Clean, comfortable, sunny, secluded, well-stocked, with a great layout and in a perfect location for our various Charlottesville adventures (Monticello, Shenandoah National Park, et cetera) and for grocery (and farm market) shopping. All of these are so important to us and each helped make our vacation stress free. All of this is enough to recommend the house, but what made the experience even better was the owner. Anna and her family found a perfect balance between being welcoming and extraordinarily responsive and giving us our privacy. Generally, we tend to try new properties whenever we revisit an area, but we have already decided that this will be our "home" the next time we visit the Charlottesville area.

Summary: This beautiful home was everything we needed to relax and recharge during our winter vacation. The natural light that soaked through every morning provided a perfect atmosphere to enjoy coffee and breakfast. The heated floors were amazing and the cows greeted us each morning. Anna really thought of every touch to make you feel at home. By far the best place I’ve stayed!

Summary: The house is terrific - super comfortable, bright, modern yet homey, with decor and items carefully chosen. I can't think of anything that could have made our visit more enjoyable. The house is situated on an organic farm - we enjoyed visiting the cows and the nearby road is enjoyable for a morning walk. Downtown Charlottesville is a few miles away and stores/restaurants easily accessible. The owners live on the property and Anna texted a few times to see if we needed anything (we didn't since the house was so well-equipped!) It was a bit chilly when we visited in late November so we didn't sit or cook outside, but we hope to come again when we can. Staying here was so pleasant that it felt like a destination getaway on its own. We hope to come back again!
