Summary: The lobby and foyer have been updated but the room was very dark, the carpet probably original from the 70's. This combination made the room feel unclean. I am sure cleaning staff do a good job but can't counteract this. I did not feel the room was worth the charge.

Summary: A clean facility with extremely friendly staff. Supper was excellent with some delicious homemade tastes and items. Although fried baloney being one of of the meats available with the included breakfast was quite a surprise, it actually tasted good after not having it for decades, LOL, and everything else was fine. Would stay at this hotel again.

Summary: Stayed with my dog on the way to port aux basques to take the ferry and barely slept all night as there were unsupervised kids running through the hall and knocking on every door and running away. Nothing was done after calling down several times and I spent the whole night keeping my dog from barking. No security guard present. My dog was also attacked by an off leash dog while entering the lobby. Overall not a great experience. If I ever have to stay in gander again I will ask if there are any sports teams staying. Would have slept better in the car!
